A new version of the Fed2 Workbench for Windows has been released, which adds in location property flags for weaspons shops and fighting locations. Download the new Workbench here.
An upgrade to new FedTerm for Windows is now available. This version fixes some bugs, adds some new features, and changes the way the stats panel works.
Note: this change means that the stats panel will be blank on all previous versions of FedTerm. If you don't want to upgrade, you can turn off the stats panel with the item in the 'Options' menu, and get your stats using the manual commands 'SC' and 'ST'.
If you are already using new FedTerm (version 3.0) you can upgrade by downloading just the program file, from the FedTerm upgrade page.
If you are using on older version then download the full installation package from the FedTerm page.

Moguls can now link a second planet into the game automatically using the new COLONIZE command. For details, read the Idiot's Guide page here.
There's a new version of the location editor, part of the Fed2 Basic Workbench for Windows. Download the upgrade here.
The new installation of the Fed2 Advanced Workbench for Windows is now available. It contains recompiled event and object editors to make them compatible with the new basic workbench. Download the new advanced workbench here.
There's a new version of the Event Editor (for Windows) that adds some new scripts which you can use in conjunction with objects if you write events for your planet. Download it here.
We have finally been able to lift the bar on new players in the game. The persistent bug which crashed the game when new characters were set up has been fixed. Welcome back, newbods!
The reset will be returning to its usual time of 1.00pm server time (8.00am eastern) on Friday. Read the special bulletin for the details.
As you will see if you are looking at this page, the website has had a makeover - at least, parts of it have. The rest of the thousands of pages on the site will get spruced up with the new style over the next month or so.

The manual for Federation 2 is now available in Kindle format so you can load it onto your Amazon e-book device to read. You can also read it on your computer using Amazon's software readers for the PC and Mac, or on your iPhone or iPad with the Kindle apps.
Gallagher's new charm for April is a box of tricks that gives you a variety of surprises. It costs 1 slithy tove and you can get it with BUY BOX. Once you have it, you can display it to anyone who looks at you by dangling it from your keyring with CLIP BOX CHARM and see what's inside it with OPEN BOX CHARM.
Financiers can now have a stock star system and planet linked into the game automatically, without having to use the workbench. The details are in today's Fed2 Star, and in the Idiot's Guide.
The commands to change your email address and your password are available again: UPDATE EMAIL and UPDATE PASSWORD.
The Advanced Workbench manual has been updated with information about how to add a moving mobile to your planet.
There is a new version of the Tesla planet checker available for Windows, which fixes some bugs. Download it here.
