CONNECTION PROBLEMS
June 17
Last night, there were problems at the data center where the Fed computer lives which meant nobody could log on, or get to our web site, for a couple of hours. The problem was caused by a failing router, which has now been fixed.
The game did not crash, it kept on running throughout the outage but it just didn't have any players on for quite a while. This means nobody has lost any groats or other gains made before the problem.
Sorry for the inconvenience, folks!
NEW PO ECONOMICS CLASS TO RUN ON SUNDAYS

Announcing a new class to teach planet owners all aspects of the economics of running a planet. The class, hosted by Catspaws, will be held each Sunday at 10.00pm eastern in the Econ Classroom on Catseye (from the LP, go IN, O, SE, E).
The first class, on May 3, will have guest lecturer Smitty.
The following week, on May 11, Djentsch will teach PO and build basics.
Whether you are a new PO or an old hand, there will be something you can learn - or if you know it all, come along to the classes and pass on your wisdom.

NEW VERSION OF TESLA PLANET CHECKER FOR WINDOWS

There is a new version of the Tesla planet checker for Windows, which adds some extra checks of things that the game doesn't like. Everyone who works on their planet, whether designing a new planet or making a tweak to existing ones, needs to download Tesla and use it to check the files before submitting them.

CHARM REPLACEMENT SERVICE

NEW SEARCH COMMAND

A new command lets you 'SEARCH' a room to find out if there is anything concealed there. But you shouldn't just march around searching anywhere just in case, because a search costs you 10 stamina on the ground or 10 tons of fuel in space.
WORKBENCH: NEW MAP EDITORS FOR WINDOWS AND MAC

There is a new version of the Windows map editor which adds a confirmation to the 'Space Map' button: download the upgrade here, or get the full installation here.

NEW EXILE COMMAND

You can now see a list of all those who have been exiled, and from which systems, by typing 'EXILE'.
ADVENTURER PAY INCREASE

The pay for akaturi jobs has been increased, so that even with the reduced number of jobs required, Adventurers should end up with enough money to join the Trading Guild.
SHUFFLE COMMAND EXTENDED TO DEPOTS
June 10
The 'SHUFFLE' command can now be used by Industrialists and Manufacturers to rearrange goods in depots, as well as Merchants on their warehouses. See the entry in the commands section of the manual.
