WEB FED AWARD WINNING PLANET:
ALBA - OVERLORD ALBANSIRE

Reviewed on November 16, 1997

Hopping through the link, our reviewdroid found itself spiraling down to a gorgeous looking planet. As it landed on the planet itself, it discovered that Albansire had modelled his planet after the imagery of 18th century poetry. As you look around the rustic landing pad, the path to the north almost immediately beckons. Once there, you are regaled with a nice poem about the forest.

From there, you can head off to the park which is full of flowers and statues, or perhaps do a little exploring in the forest. Casual explorers might find the outside of a mansion, or perhaps some offices; poke around a bit more, and you might end up in a number of places, be it a cave system, or a secret path, or more. There’s even a boardwalk and a nice beach area to relax in.

The imagery on Alba is exquisite; you really feel like you’re walking through the forest, or smelling the flowers, or seeing perhaps the first office complex that our reviewdroids have ever found remotely interesting. Albansire clearly put a lot of effort into this planet making each location well-written and strong enough to evoke images in the player’s mind. An excellent job, and Albansire’s just won himself the Carpenter Award for his gorgeous planet. Well done!
