Federation II Events - Meet & Greet

August 29, 2004

Cam starts setting up all of his cameras around the stage.

Gwarrior shows Vlad to his specially made coffin and seats himself on his stool.

Vlad nods

Vlad slinks into the plush interior of the coffin

Gwarrior asks, "comfy?"

Vlad bounces around a bit and nods with a smile showing his fangs

Ferreri wonders when the viewing starts

Vlad pulls the hem of his kilt down

Gwarrior asks, "everyone ready to go?"

Vlad nods

Gwarrior exclaims, "Welcome to tonight's Meet and Greet everyone!"

Ferreri claps

Gwarrior exclaims, "Tonight, I have the distinct pleasure of interviewing Fed's lovable vampire, Vlad!"

Sissy cheers!

Gwarrior smiles, "thank you for joining me tonight Vlad :)"

Vlad bows modestly in his coffin

Vlad says, "thank you for having me"

Gwarrior says, "why don't we start off by having you say a little about your history in Fed: how you started, past friends, etc."

Vlad says, "well, I started Fed (Classic) way back in August of 96....back on AOL"

Vlad says, "I possessed another body at that time"

Vlad winks, "but a few years later, I brought Vlad in and have had me every since;)"

Gwarrior asks, "what was your name back then?"

Vlad says, "Buddykarl"

Gwarrior says, "oooooooooh"

Ferreri says, "oh my... Buddy"

Vlad chuckles

Gwarrior asks, "do you remember any of the names of people who helped you get started?"

Vlad says, "hhhmmmm....there were a few, Diamondsme, Wednesdey.... Sosaycin"

Vlad says, "so many over the span of time, that my memory fails to recall all of them"

Gwarrior laughs.

Gwarrior asks, "how old is your character now?"

Vlad says, "in Fed II, since we have warped so far ahead, i will be 838 in october"

Vlad says, "or is it 938?...lol"

Gwarrior laughs.

Vlad says, "when you approach a century, time is really flying by"

Ferreri says, "I'm only 29 and I started before you"

Gwarrior laughs.

Vlad chuckles as it took him a while to get internet hookups in transylvania

Gwarrior asks, "you draw a comic now for the Fed II Star, correct?"

Vlad nods

Gwarrior asks, "could you tell us a little about it?"

Vlad says, "I had always wanted to do a Fed-based comic since I started playing, but finally got a workable idea for Fed II"

Gwarrior asks, "the mystery at the mansion on Earth?"

Ferreri reads every one

Vlad says, "it is about a Private Eye named Sam Galaxy, who as the comic progresses, you will find his history is a bit shadowy"

Gwarrior says, "ah"

Vlad says, "yes, this case involves the mansion on Earth"

Vlad says, "it allows me to try my hand at more "serious" cartooning"

Gwarrior nods.

Vlad says, "so as the comic progresses, I hope to improve that part of my artisitic slant"

Gwarrior asks, "you do another named Willow's Grove, correct?"

Vlad nods

Vlad smiles, "that is correct:)"

Gwarrior asks, "how long have you been doing that one?"

Vlad says, "on and off for about 20 years"

Gwarrior says, "wow"

Vlad says, "it has gone under a few different titles but the Willow's Grove title has been around the longest"

Gwarrior asks, "still no luck at getting it published?"

Vlad says, "nope, but there is always hope"

Vlad says, "and the internet"

Vlad chuckles

Gwarrior chuckles.

Gwarrior says, "shameless plug time.. I think.."

Vlad rofl

Vlad says, "it is published three times a week, Monday, Wedneday and Friday"

Gwarrior asks, "and for the Fed II strip?"

Gwarrior drawls, "I know its a jump but..."

Ferreri says, "I didn't like the last scene in that one."

Vlad asks, "you don't like a man all tied up and vunerable, Ferreri?"

Gwarrior laughs.

Ferreri says, "not like that... no"

Gwarrior asks, "how long have you and Sissy been Fed married?"

Vlad says, "18 months"

Gwarrior counts up.

Gwarrior asks, "January 2003?"

Sissy asks, "or do we have to count the 200 years different between Classic Fed and Fed II, hunny?"

Gwarrior laughs.

Vlad says, "actually yes, add 200 years to that"

Vlad says, "but December 2002"

Sissy smiles and nods

Vlad says, "so we just celebrated 19 months"

Gwarrior says, "must have been right before I returned to Fed"

Vlad nods

Gwarrior says, "or directly afterwards"

Vlad winks, "you must have been recovering from your Survivor The Animated Series role;)"

Gwarrior giggles.

Gwarrior says, "I came back right before the last Survivor began"

Vlad smiles

Gwarrior says, "oh... and you did a wonderful job on the intro cartoon for it"

Vlad smiles, "thank you:)"

Vlad says, "I have been neglecting my animation practice though lately, trying to get two strips out on deadline"

Gwarrior asks, "how often are you publishing the SG cartoon?"

Vlad says, "every other week"

Gwarrior says, "ah, ok"

Gwarrior asks, "any questions from the peanut gallery?"

Ferreri frowns, "I've got pne... but I'm not eating peanuts :("

Gwarrior laughs.

Gwarrior asks, "yes Ferreri?"

Ferreri asks, "Vlad... which is better blue or red blood.... or is there a difference?"

Vlad says, "they both have the same flavor, actually"

Gwarrior drawls, "oh? interesting..."

Ferreri says, "ahh"

Vlad says, "but the blue blooded people's flesh is softer"

Gwarrior asks, "so easier to get to?"

Ferreri exclaims, "I thought so!"

Vlad nods

Gwarrior asks, "anyone else have a question?"

Sissy knows almost everything about Vlad, so no questions. ;)

Sissy chuckles

Vlad smiles at Sissy, his fangs glinting in the soft light

Ferreri says, "I just want to do the viewing"

Gwarrior says, "well, if thats it.."

Gwarrior smiles, "Thank you very much for joining me tonight Vlad :)"

Vlad smiles, "you are most welcome:)"

Gwarrior says, "Join me in 2 weeks at 9.00pm on Sumatra in a bar as yet to be named."

Ferreri walks over to Vlads coffin for a view

Cam packs up his cameras and heads out
