The enigmatic Professor James Moriarty is here. Moriarty is wearing a medallion and is carrying a keyring.

Art drawls, "Ok, I think Clio is set up..."

Ferreri says, "I wanted to see Moriarty get duct taped into the chair"

Moriarty chuckles.

Art is back, and with extra duct tape.

Bourbon says, "this should be fun .....lol"

Ferreri asks, "did you bring the red one?"

Art has all different colors of duct tape, even clear.

Moriarty doesn't like red. It's too vibrant to be against his body!

Funster says, "Hi, this is my first event"

Art says, "This is a fun and easy one."

Moriarty is smiling broadly.

Roselie smiles at the Professor.

Moriarty drawls, "Well, one last drink before the taping..."

Moriarty has bought you a nice whiskey sour.

Clio is already recording...

Bourbon says, "thanks Mori"

Moriarty chuckles, "The other taping... ;)"

Art lets Moriarty finish his drink, mostly, then takes out a roll of black duct tape.

Art shows Moriarty to the center stage elec... er, chair.

Moriarty gets ready to struggle a bit. Must be sportingly about it. :)

Roselie asks, "Need any help Art?"

Bourbon says, "sit back Mori this is the fun part.....lol"

Art deftly fastens a mic to his chest using plenty of duct tape, then swiftly tapes his arms and legs to the chair.

Moriarty chuckles, "How many ladies does it take to tie up an arch-nemesis?"

Roselie says, "Apparently just one.."

Moriarty drawls, "Hey! I was distracted..."

Djentsch says, "that is what it looks like to me as well"

Art is very good at it. "Practice, you know."

Moriarty says, "Indeed."

Roselie nods to Art, "Obviously."

Art pulls up a nearby chair.

Moriarty smiles, "Well, you may have won this round, my lady... But there shall be many to come. :)"

Art exclaims, "Welcome to Meet & Greet. My guest tonight is Professor James Moriarty!"

Art says, "I'll get things started, then open the floor for question later."

Ferreri wonders if Moriarty ever read any books

Art says, "Please hold your questions until I open the floor."

Roselie thinks he might have.

Art asks, "Well, Professor, tell us how you started in Fed."

Moriarty drawls, "It was many, many years ago (about 8 to be exact), when I was but a sprouting lad..."

Art nods...

Moriarty smiles, "I began playing on AOL with a good friend of mine, then again the same friend let me know Fed 2 had come to being and was free, so I joined up again for the fun. :)"

Art asks, "Who was this friend?"

Moriarty smiles, "In this carnation he is known as Drewcifer. Unfortunately he stopped playing about a month ago. But luckily for all of you I'm still here. :)"

Art grins. "Do go on."

Moriarty says, "Well, I quickly darted through the hauling and delivery ranks."

Bourbon says, "yuk,,, the working days"

Art asks, "Avoiding the customs inspections?"

Moriarty gives nod to his hall of fame record for fastest to Merchant...

Moriarty says, "Well, the best part was using them to my advantage during Commander and Captain."

Ferreri whispers 'you have to slow down at Merchat'

Moriarty says, "For some reason they give you extra time, so I'd try to get stopped on missions worth 50+ ig/tn."

Art grins

Moriarty says, "Once I made captain I took a short respite to join the Magellan Society."

Art nods.

Ferreri says, "they have a nice bar"

Moriarty says, "That was an interesting sideplot. Certainly a good break from the hauling."

Moriarty winks, "Indeed. And a library. ;)"

Fancy grins.

Art says, "It's a fun puzzle."

Bourbon says, "so have heard....lol"

Moriarty smiles, "Yes, a fun puzzle. On one clue, however, it took me a while after finding the clue to realise I already had it. :)"

Art nods.

Fancy grins again.

Moriarty says, "But once I recognised that, it was easy going."

Moriarty says, "Obviously, it was a good reason to go exploring."

Moriarty says, "Which helped greatly once I was promoted to delivery boy... er, Adventurer."

Roselie giggles at Moriarty.

Leostada chuckles

Art says, "The dreaded 'where was I supposed to go with this stuff?' rank."

Moriarty says, "Yes. It was during that rank I became intimately familiar with the status command."

Ferreri tries to remember to tell all adventures to bring her the heels

Art chuckles.

Moriarty wonders how Ferreri got around the system in her heels.

Leostada has become intimately familiar with the Sun

Moriarty says, "I had a couple unfortunate mishaps with the radiation rooms on Titan while I was still getting the maps down."

Art drawls, "Then, after that dark time in 'Fed-ex' you promoted again..."

Moriarty says, "Ah, yes. The wonderful and care-free days of Merchant."

Jessecka giggles.

Art liked merchie.

Moriarty smiles, "I spent extra time at this rank to build up my fortune and ferret away some extra commods for later. :)"

Art did too.

Ferreri whispers 'someone must have told him'

Moriarty says, "Buy low and sell high came easy to me, and I took quick notes to make some good trade routes."

Art nods.

Moriarty says, "And that, of course, helped greatly. I also bought my first new ship at Merchant."

Art grins.

Moriarty says, "It sure was shiney, and I was proud of her after driving around that Harrier for so long."

Moriarty says, "But once I'd hidden away all that I could and gotten all the fortune the taxman would allow me to have, I again promoted to Trader."

Art waited a long time to get to trader.

Moriarty says, "And I had to sell that ship to save on gas, and brought my Harrier out of the hangar once again."

Art laughs.

Moriarty smiles, "Well, I was a merchant for just under a week. But if I'd known what awaited me in the oh-so-wonderful world of Futures, I'd probably have stayed a bit longer. :)"

Roselie says, "Heh"

Moriarty begins humming, "I wish I knew what I know now, when I was younger..."

Bourbon says, "nah Mori won't have been so much fun,.......lol"

Art says, "I know that feeling."

Moriarty drawls, "But anyway... My first night as a Trader, I wanted to dive right in as I'd done on the other ranks..."

Moriarty says, "So... Needless to say, I began my second day as a Trader climbing out of a 60-Trader point hole."

Jessecka laughs.

Art exclaims, "Ouch!"

Jessecka has given Moriarty a hot tickle.

Fancy whistles.

Moriarty chuckles, "and that's when I met Jess. :)"

Jessecka blushes.

Moriarty says, "After a short lesson from Jessecka in what now seems like common sense (with a bit of math) I was good to go."

Ferreri says, "Jess is a good teacher"

Jessecka smiles.

Moriarty says, "Indeed, quite good."

Bourbon says, "yes she is"

Art agrees.

Jessecka says, "Ok, anyways"

Bourbon says, "but Ferr is also awesome"

Art asks, "How long did it take you to get out of that hole?"

Bourbon says, "and also to Fancy"

Bourbon applaudes the teachers of Trading

Moriarty says, "So, I made some spreadsheets to help with the paperwork and set about mastering the futures market. At the beginning of my third day I already was turned around with +80 trader points."

Fancy smiles.

Art says, "Wow."

Moriarty says, "That was a particularly good day."

Moriarty says, "6 TODs and a few good manmade mixes, if I remember correctly."

Art says, "I would say so"

Moriarty says, "Then a couple days later the planets began dumping their stockpiles over night and it became a little more difficult."

Art says, "Ouch"

Fancy asks, "You mean the exchanges stopped starting over from scratch each day?"

Bourbon says, "that does seem to be challange now for traders"

Moriarty says, "Exactly, Fancy."

Moriarty says, "And it was no more 'early bird gets the worm, and the good futures.'"

Jessecka grins.

Art says, "yep."

Art says, "And then, Indy"

Bourbon laughs at Jess even thinking of getting up early

Jessecka thumps Bourbon.

Moriarty says, "But I still squeeked out the required Trader rating in 7 days and started my new company, Nemesis, Incorporated."

Bourbon asks, "ouch, what did I say ?????"

Bourbon says, "nice job Mori :)\"

Art says, "Impressive."

Moriarty says, "And with the jumpstart I'd left myself from Merchant I was up and running within the day."

Art says, "Always nice."

Moriarty smiles, "And the rest, as they say, is history. :)"

Ferreri says, "you cheated and went to a class"

Moriarty smiles, "Oh, yeah... And I bought my current ship, the NCS Villainy. :)"

Moriarty smiles, "I've never cheated.... Still wondering what it gets you, though. :)"

Art says, "Ok, then I'll open the floor for questions... Just raise your hand if you want to ask Moriarty anything."

Moriarty says, "But yes, the class was certainly a good leg up."

Fancy winks, "It gets you an amusing message. ;)"

Art says, "And Moriarty, you need to cheat."

Bourbon laughs

Roselie says, "Everyone should "cheat" at least once.."

Art looks for hands...

Roselie raises her hand.

Art asks, "Roselie?"

Moriarty wonders if he needs his hands to cheat...

Roselie asks, "Professor, May I ask your identity in the old Fed?"

Art checks the duct tape and fastens it a bit tighter around one wrist.

Moriarty says, "Ah... Good question. :) As a young lad I was known as JeffreyST. I hung out mostly on a planet by the owner Vee."

Roselie says, "Thank you"

Moriarty says, "I believe my terminal rank was JP."

Art chuckles.

Roselie says, "Terminal sounds so...final."

Roselie giggles.

Moriarty says, "The other planet I remember clearly was one with a Jimmy Buffet Bar."

Moriarty says, "I can't remember the names of the planets, though, unfortunately."

Ferreri raises her hand

Art asks, "Fer?"

Bourbon perks up

Fancy says, "Sounds like Margaritaville."

Roselie says, "It does indeed"

Moriarty chuckles, "I do believe you're right, Fancy. That would seem to be correct."

Ferreri asks, "why don't you play everyday and do you vote?"

Art says, "It's still there. Closed though."

Roselie giggles at Ferrari.

Art gets ready to duct tape Ferreri, then decides not to.

Moriarty says, "I do play every day, though I've been absent the last few days due to out-of-town company."

Moriarty smiles, "It would be nearly impossible to be a manufacturer after only 7 weeks if I didn't play every day. :)"

Roselie waits for the Professor to answer the second part of the question..

Art says, "That's true"

Ferreri asks, "do you vote?"

Moriarty smiles, "And I do vote every day, thrice. However, since I do that on my browser in Mac, FedTerm may not know. :)"

Ferreri says, "okay"

Art asks, "Next question?"

Bourbon raises hadn

Art asks, "Bourbon?"

Bourbon asks, "what do you like now in new Fed ?????"

Ferreri says, "hunny he likes me, Jess and Art"

Jessecka giggles.

Moriarty says, "The rank system and the limit on gifts. :) When I played on AOL I was bankrolled by Vee to higher ranks and missed lots of the exploration from the lower ranks."

Art chuckles.

Bourbon winks, "who wouldn't ;)"

Moriarty winks, "And of course, all the interesting people from the Lounge. ;)"

Jessecka raises her hand.

Art asks, "Jess?"

Bourbon applauds the answer lol

Jessecka asks, "have you decided on a planetary theme?"

Moriarty smiles, "Yes. However, those plans are top-secret and will have to wait until opening. :)"

Art chuckles wickedly.

Jessecka winks, "quick Art, strap him down tighter and get the feathers ;)"

Moriarty says, "It will certainly be an ... uhmmmm... adventure. :) Please do drop by."

Roselie glances at the duct tape.

Jessecka winks, "we'll tickle it out of him ;)"

Moriarty quickly stops chafing at the tape. :)

Art reaches for another roll...

Ferreri says, "god, an old England"

Roselie stiffles a giggle.

Art says, "That should be 'olde'"

Ferreri says, "you're right"

Moriarty winks, "Yes, I believe you're referring to 'Ye Olde England.' ;)"

Art asks, "Other questions?"

Roselie hums "Hail Brittania" very softly.

Fancy raises a paw.

Art asks, "Fancy?"

Ferreri says, "ask him how we can embarress him"

Fancy asks, "What's your most embarrassing moment in Fed?"

Roselie cannot stiffle her giggle.

Art chuckles.

Bourbon says, "this should be good"

Moriarty chuckles. "Roselie was there, if my memory serves..."

Moriarty drawls, "I was in Chez Diesel one day..."

Art is all ears...

Moriarty says, "I believe I was there with Preach, Wildweasel and Roselie."

Roselie remembers.

Moriarty drawls, "It may have been a different occasion blurring together, though... But anyway... I was getting a bit frisky..."

Ferreri says, "what a crew"

Art perks!

Bourbon says, "that explains the moment with not further ado.....lol"

Art says, "I want details."

Jessecka thinks she might not want details.

Moriarty drawls, "Looking about for an easy object of affection I knew the Arturian wasn't a good bet... So I tried to get my hands on Diesel..."

Art winces...

Roselie pats Moriarty comfortingly.

Fancy grins and chuckles.

Moriarty exclaims, "Well, she didn't take too kindly to that... And it hurt!"

Ferreri says, "you can't do that"

Jessecka winks, "well, you CAN do that, but it's not a good idea ;)"

Fancy says, "At least you can't do it without consequences."

Roselie says, "Its bad for your health and your dignity"

Art chortles at the consequences.

Moriarty smiles, "Well, luckily I had just had my dinner... So I avoided a trip to the ER... But only barely. :)"

Fancy smiles, "You saw plenty of stars, planets, and asteroids, I'm sure. :)"

Moriarty smiles, "Indeed, Fancy. Those an more. :)"

Roselie says, "He got action, it just wasn't the sort he was expecting.."

Art says, "I do have another question."

Art asks, "If you could change anything about Fed, what would it be?"

Moriarty says, "Hmmm... I'd have it be finished! ;) But I'm sure Bella's already working hard at that."

Art grins.

Art asks, "Are there any other questions?"

Fancy raises a paw.

Art asks, "Fancy?"

Fancy asks, "What's your favorite moment in Fed?"

Moriarty says, "Hm, that's a good question... So many good ones. Probably would have to be the moment during my Trader class when the lightbulb came on and I had that 'Ooooohhhhhhhhhhhh... I get it' moment."

Jessecka grins.

Jessecka has given Moriarty an agreeable hug.

Art laughs.

Jessecka says, "I love it when they do that"

Moriarty says, "And most any day at the Lounge when there's lots of people awake, listening to FedRadio."

Bourbon says, "searches and plays the Mix just for you....lol"

Art asks, "Is there anything you'd like to say before we wrap this up? Words of advice or somesuch?"

Jessecka giggles.

Moriarty says, "Hm, you'd better not lay a finger on my Butterfinger."

Bourbon laughs

Art laughs out loud!

Jessecka winks, "silly Mori ;)"

Moriarty exclaims, "... or cross me in any other sort of way... ;) Otherwise, we'll all do just fine!"

Bourbon hands Mori a cold Pina Colada

Moriarty smiles, "Oh, yeah... And stop buying all the darn nanos, everyone. I need some! :)"

Art adds a straw to the pina colada.

Moriarty sips, enjoying the rum. :)

Jessecka thinks Mori should make his own nanos like she does.

Roselie advises Mori to make his own nanos.

Jessecka giggles.

Roselie winks at Jess.

Moriarty used to do that, actually, but quit just before they started getting VERY scarce.

Bourbon winks, "doing my best to let you get them on Merc Mori ;)"

Jessecka winks, "I can't help it, they make the best nano ice cream you have ever eaten ;)"

Bourbon asks, "am I supposed to say stuff like that ?????"

Moriarty figures he may have to go back to doing so, but hates to waste money on capital expenditures.

Art nods.

Moriarty chuckles, "Thanks, Bourbon. I'll check it out, if on one else gets there first. :)"

Jessecka says, "not me, I still have tape wounds on my arms thank you"

Art asks, "Fancy? Interested in seeing the effect of duct tape on cat fur?"

Art says, "Thanks for coming"

Art says, "Laters people."
