Pearl Teahouse
On the wall is a holo of Yoshida on the Tokaido Road - a scene of a roadside teahouse in Yoshida. One result of teahouses is equality through capitalism. Anyone who arrives and can pay gets to join the society of the roadside teahouse. Mounted high on one wall hangs a woman's chirimen silk jacket, with a stenciled wave motif, its subtle grays and blues reflecting calmly on the room. Low tables with cushions are arranged around the room, spaced to allow private conversation. Silent droids roll about, refilling tea cups.

Princess Jewells has just arrived.

Examine Merchant Jewells
Princess Jewells is dressed in a pair of tight fitting high-fashion dark blue jeans, and she wears a white t-shirt under a fitted black blazer. As she moves you can read the words "I love my boyfriend" printed on the shirt.

Joe says, "there she is"

Jewells waves.

Jewells checks everyone's pockets for duct tape.

IJewells has bought you a pint of Diesel's Old Peculiar strong dark ale.

Andrew smiles, "thanks Jewells :)"

Meteu asks, "Are we ready to get started?"

Jewells conjures her throne and has a seat where everyone can see her.

Kalandra fishes in her bag for a roll of duct tape and hands it to Jewells

Meteu duct tapes Jewells to the chair

Jewells vanishes the duct tape.

Meteu says, "We are here with Jewells tonight."

Jewells smiles, "nice try :)"

Meteu asks, "How are you tonight Jewells?"

Jewells smiles, "I'm well thank you, how are you? :)"

Meteu says, "I'm just fine"

Meteu asks, "Lets start with the most obvious question, what attracted you to Fed?"

Jewells winks, "Joe."

Jewells smiles.

Joe chuckles

Jewells exclaims, "Just kidding... kinda... I like to type!"

Jewells says, "My father got me playing, "Hey Jewells, come over here and check this out!""

Jewells says, "I was hooked in 10 minutes... not sure why."

Meteu asks, "Was that on AOL or GEnie or some other mutation of Fed?"

Jewells drawls, "It was AOL... back when my mom was paying for it by the hour..."

Jewells remembers being screamed at for the bills..

Meteu asks, "Who were you on AOL?"

Jewells says, "I started as TweetyB(somerandomnumbers), but changed it when people kept telling me that TweetyBird is a male bird... I think I got to merchant as Tweety, then I switched screen names to Jewells."

Meteu asks, "What was your favorite part about AOL fed?"

Jewells drawls, "All the people.. we need more players in Fed2! Recruit your friends people. I'd recruit mine.. but I don't have any..."

Joe laughs

Meteu asks, "What do you like about Fed2?"

Jewells winks, "Joe ;)"

Jewells giggles.

Andrew winks, "well done Joe ;)"

Jewells drawls, "Um.. I like everything about Fed2.. I think it's great that they could evolve the game..."

Joe chuckles, "Of course... I am the best part of Fed2" ;)

Andrew laughs

Joe winks, "just kidding of course... sorry, I'll shut up now ;)"

Meteu asks, "How long have you been playing Fed2?"

Jewells smiles, "i LOVE the games we play.. especially Fed2 Taboo :)"

Jewells blows a kiss to Joe, "yes, quiet down dear".

Kalandra says, "great game, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would."

Meteu asks, "Jewells What would you say the best part of Fed2 is?"

Joe points to himself

Jewells thinks.

Jewells asks, "Didn't I just answer that?"

Meteu says, "Maybe but in the lag I want to make sure I got it"

Jewells drawls, "Besides Joe.. the best part of Fed2 is..."

Jewells exclaims, "Um.. Everything! It's just so awesome that it's still here!"

Meteu asks, "Cool, when you were on AOL Fed, what was your highest rank?"

Jewells says, "I was a PO.. whatever the first PO rank was.. i can't remember how it all worked."

Andrew asks, "A Thane?"

Jewells says, "Well actually.. that's not true.."

Meteu smiles, "So I guess asking what ducy you were in would be a bad idea?:)"

Jewells says, "I think I didn't get to PO until Fed moved to the Web."

Jewells frowns, "I can't remember my duchy :("

Meteu asks, "I'm goin to ask this anyway:) What rank do you like the least in Fed2?"

Jewells says, "I was in the same dutchy as my Father. His planet was Jewells (or Jewell.. i can't remember)"

Jewells smiles, "I am not sure yet :)"

Jewells smiles, "Still a merchie :)"

Meteu smiles, "Now we are on to the fun part:)"

Meteu asks, "What has been your most embarassing moment in Fed?"

Jewells blushes.

Jewells frowns, "You didn't ask what the name of my planet was. :("

Jewells asks, "You don't care about my planet?"

Meteu smiles, "We are gonna get to that:)"

Jewells asks, "Only the duchy?"

Jewells says, "Oh... heh"

Jewells winks, "So.. whats the next question? ;)"

Jewells grins.

Meteu asks, "What is your favorite planet?"

Jewells winks, " Sulawesi ;)"

Joe smiles

Jewells says, "Well.. Sulawesi and Kingdom are tied i think."

Meteu asks, "Moving along in that vein, what is the name of your planet going to be?"

Andrew asks, "wait! what about the most embarassing?"

Andrew grins

Jewells says, "I like to hang out on Kingdom when Joe's not around."

Meteu smiles, "Good point Andrew:)"

Meteu smiles, "Time to fess up Jewells:)"

Jewells says, "I like to pretend that I am a very open person, and that I don't get embarassed."

Jewells smiles, "is that a good enough answer? :)"

Andrew says, "no :P"

Jewells asks, "Oh... what about that time that I logged off telnet in the middle of a com message.. and then logged back in at home and commed my login info and e-mail address to everyone?"

Meteu smiles, "Now we can go on to what your planet name is:)"

Jewells says, "I am still unsure of what my planet name will be.."

Jewells thinks for a moment, "Maybe Joe."

Jewells giggles.

Meteu says, "yeah that would be pretty embarassing"

Joe chuckles

Meteu asks, "Whats the most embarassing way you have died?"

Jewells says, "aww Poor Meteu.. you have lots of lag huh? And here I am just blabbing and blabbing"

Andrew winks, "as ong as it's not your system name...I can't see having to "Jump Joe" ;)"

Jewells smirks..

Joe says, "hehe"

Jewells says, "I can.."

Andrew winks, "somehow I knew you would say that ;)"

Jewells blushes.

Kalandra says, "somehow I don't think he would have a problem with that"

Meteu asks, "What about your most embarassing death?"

Andrew laughs

Joe does not comment, just smiles.

Jewells drawls, "Let see.. I was trying to fill a warehouse on Mars, and I actually spent ALL of my money buying a comod.. because I wasn't paying attention..."

Jewells says, "And I was like "Crap!" So I got on my way to go sell the comod.."

Jewells exclaims, "and was in a hurry.. and I had a run-in with customs.. and I flew into the sun!"

Joe doesn't think 'crap' was the word she used ;)

Meteu smiles, "How many times have the Titan radiation rooms gotten you?:)"

Jewells says, "I didn't have enough money to re-insure.. and i had to ask Cats for gas money just to get to titan to sell the comods so i'd have enough money to re-insure."

Jewells exclaims, "I walked into all three I think.. wanted to see what was in there!"

Meteu says, "That would definetely be embarassing"

Joe winks, "That's my girl ;)"

Jewells exclaims, "it was scary too!"

Meteu asks, "Whats your most memorable moment on Fed?"

Jewells says, "not walking into the rooms.. but flying to titan w/o insurance."

Meteu asks, "Did you ever pay Cats back?"

Jewells says, "Um.."

Jewells exclaims, "Oh.. nope!"

Jewells says, "If she were here... i'd pay her back.."

Jewells exclaims, "but since she's MISSING my meet and greet... she doesn't get paid back!"

Meteu makes a note to remind Cats to ask about the loan.

Kalandra wonders what the interest would be after such a long time...

Jewells says, "yeah, and remind her she missed my meet and greet.. and she's never come to a Taboo game.."

Meteu asks, "What gave you the idea to bring Taboo to Fed?"

Jewells smiles, "wasn't that long ago.. :)"

Jewells says, "Well it started when a group of us decided to play Hide and Seek."

Jewells smiles, "And we told Cats about it at RolePlaying class.. and she gave us an assignment.. She said that we should plan an event or a game and advertise it and invite the staff. So Gorsoomba and Munabilo and Joe and I all talked it over and I came up with Taboo as a game.. :)"

Meteu asks, "Thats cool, any idea when it will be a regular game?"

Joe whispers to Meteu, "She never answered what he most memorable moment was." ;)

Joe says, "er.. her"

Meteu asks, "yeah what was your most memorable moment there Jewells?"

Jewells says, "It could be a regular game anytime I decide. But I work so much that I haven't been able to committ to a time slot. Also Muny is out of town and there are still some changes to be done to Taboobot."

Jewells asks, "Thanks Joe.. I guess that my most memorable moment is.. um.. When all my information got set to the comms?"

Meteu says, "Thats the end of my questions, are there any from the audience? Please raise your hand."

Jewells says, "I don't know.. Actually, I think it was the first time I hosted Taboo :) Everyone really enjoyed it, and It felt good to entertian people."

Jewells grumbles, no one cares what her planet was like in Classic fed...

Jewells grins.

Joe raises his hand

Joe doesn't wait for Meteu, "Jewells, tell us about your planet in Classic Fed." ;)

Jewells laughs.

Jewells smiles, "It was called Albertane :) And it was themed around my favorite band.. When you landed on the LP and got out of your ship.. you could hear "Mmmbop" playing... :)"

Andrew raises his hand

Joe just shakes his head.

Andrew says, "ah hem"

Jewells says, "Yes andrew? I think Meteu is um.. lost"

Andrew says, "Why are you staying at Merchant instead of working towards getting a planet here in Fed2"

Meteu says, "I'm here sorry"

Jewells has given Meteu a passionate hug.

Jewells says, "Its okies"

Jewells says, "I am a Princess.. I know it makes people nervous."

Andrew asks, "why would it make people nervous?"

Jewells says, "Andrew, I am not promoting because I want to have a few wares filled before I do so. And I have been working in RL and have not had time, nor the desire, to work in fed."

Andrew says, "RL is a good reason"

Jewells says, "Power and Beauty make people nervous.. and.. you didn't raise your hand.."

Andrew says, "did so"

Jewells winks, "ALSO I spend all my time with JOE ;)"

Jewells winks, "only once...;)"

Meteu smiles, "Any other questions from the peanut gallery?:)"

Joe winks, "I try to get her to work but she can be a stubborn Princess ;)"

Jewells smiles, "I have people who work for me Joe.. :)"

Meteu smiles, "Is that kinda like H and R Block?:)"

Jewells smiles, "Sort of Meteu..:)"

Meteu asks, "Do you have your planet all mapped out Jewells?"

Jewells shakes her head.

Jewells says, "Nope! I haven't done a dang thing since I started this new job.. besides hang out with Joe and play games."

Joe is a bad influence...

Jewells likes bad influences...

Meteu asks, "Care to share any hints on what your planet will be?"

Jewells says, "Um.. I want to have a Chronicles of Narnia theme.. but i'm not sure how to work it in yet.. so it could be anything."

Joe winks, "I think she already said it would be basically a shrine to honor me ;)"

Jewells says, "I was thinking today of using my town as a template.. I live in a really great little downtown area."

Jewells says, "oh yeah.. and um.. a shrine to honor Joe."

Meteu asks, "Do you plan on working your exchange or having others work it?"

Jewells refers you to her previous statement about being royalty and having people who do her work for her.

Jewells smiles, "I'll do whatever it takes to keep my planet running.. :) but as little as possible! :)"

Meteu says, "We have time for one or two more questions if anyone has any."

Joe has a feeling he is going to be helping a lot ;)

Kalandra raises her hand

Kalandra asks, "Jewells what is your coffee philosphy. Joe aside... creamer? sugar? espresso? or perk?"

Meteu says, "Kal"

Joe chuckles

Jewells asks, "whats perk?"

Joe asks, "drip?"

Kalandra says, "percolated... regular coffee out of a coffee pot. yeah, drip"

Jewells exclaims, "ahhh i just dropped a blueberry pancake on myself!"

Kalandra drawls, "once a loooong time ago before automatic coffee pots...."

Jewells says, "brb"

Joe smiles, "Great question Kal :)"

Kalandra says, "you had to use a percolator to make coffee... I still have one that sits on my stove top for when my coffee pot goes out."

Jewells smiles, "um.. I like starbucks coffee :)"

Jewells glances to Joe to see if this is the right answer.

Joe says, "I actually use a french press if i have no other coffee pot."

Jewells says, "I always order a Grande Breve Misto w/ whip."

Joe winks, "good answer ;)"

Jewells says, "which is a Medium house coffee with steamed half and half and whipcream"

Kalandra says, "I'm a Venti Mocha extra shot myself"

Jewells says, "4 shots of Espresso kal? Whew.."

Meteu asks, "Next question, is iced coffee truly coffee?"

Joe says, "when i had a job it was the occasion quad venti no whip white mocha"

Jewells says, "I'm not an espresso fan myself"

Jewells says, "oh wait venti red-eye is 3 shots"

Kalandra laughs

Kalandra says, "its all in the preparation"

Jewells exclaims, "back in the day when i worked at starbucks (perhaps this is why Joe loves me) I always had a grande white mocha.. i was addicted to the white mocha!"

Jewells exclaims, "Yes iced coffee is coffee!"

Jewells says, "I love me some iced coffee"

Meteu asks, "Any other questions?"

Joe says, "thats what i get in the summer Venti Iced Coffee"

Jewells says, "me too."

Meteu asks, "Are there any other questions from the audience?"

Joe says, "just had one this morning as a matter of fact"

Scottric waves his hands

Meteu asks, "Yes Scott?"

Scottric smiles, "what ever caused you to come up with the game of Taboo..and do you like the Bot...:)"

Jewells LOVES her Taboobot, almost as much as she loves Joe. :)

Joe says, "She loves that thing way too much"

Scottric laughs

Jewells says, "I answered the question earlier. It was an assignment from Catspaws to develop an event that received no help from the audience."

Jewells says, "er.. why did I say audience?? i ment to say no help from staff"

Scottric says, " it is a cool game I love it...:0"

Jewells says, "Thanks! You should have played last night then! :) hehe"

Jewells says, "And you should bring your friends!! It's WAY more fun with more players."

Kalandra exclaims, "last night was fun!"

Meteu says, "I'm going to call and end to the formal meet and greet but we can hang around as long as you all like."

Jewells says, "say.. if all of you here played.. that would be a great turnout"
