Meteu asks, "Are we ready?"

Shrevo says, "as ready as i will ever be"

Meteu asks, "Good evening Shrevo, thank you for filling in on such short notice, how are you tonight?"

Shrevo says, "pretty good so far"

Meteu asks, "How was your April Fools day?"

Shrevo says, "not too bad am on vacation so real good since i am not at work"

Meteu asks, "That generally is a good thing:) If you don't mind sharing what do you do for a living?"

Shrevo says, "work in a meat dept in a supermarket chain. similiar in type to a super walmart except we have had to concept since the 1960's"

Meteu smiles, "Wow:)"

Meteu asks, "Lets talk a little bit about your Fed history, how long have you been playing and what drew you Fed over other games out there?"

Shrevo says, "can do pretty much anything in the dept right now i unload truck, stock, wrap, write orders and take inventory"

Shrevo says, "first played fed during the aol days. came back during some of the pay per month times they left aol. then came back again last summer."

Meteu asks, "What caught your eye about Fed that other games didn't?"

Shrevo says, "just liked the friendships that were around in fed. how everyone was trying to help you out if you needed it. including the killing. some were really eager to help you in that part too"

Meteu asks, "So you played with ship combat?"

Shrevo says, "not much usually tried to run real fast"

Shrevo says, "how about a two for one deal"

Meteu smiles, "We can do that:)"

Running late as usual, Liakell has just arrived.

Meteu smiles, "the one time that I'm ready on time is the one time the guest is late:)"

Liakell says, "that works... I'm so sorry... we had some breaking news to shoot =("

Shrevo says, "welcome to the chair next to mine lia"

Meteu asks, "How are you tonight Lia?"

Liakell says, "doing ok... just pulling my hair out as I saw the clock approaching 8 my time"

Liakell tries to calm down and pulls up a chair next to Shrevo.

Shrevo left duct tape in my ship so we dont need tying down

Liakell never leaves duct tape behind.

Meteu asks, "We've already asked Shrevo but we'll ask you, what brought you to Fed and how long have you been playing here?"

Liakell says, "Well... I originally found Fed shortly after AoL went to their unlimited time plan. Up to that point I hadn't been impressed much by any of the games that were available, and I liked the unique game that Fed offered."

Liakell asks, "How many other online games could offer a self-sustaining economy and the ability to make your own planet?"

Meteu smiles, "I do believe that Fed is unique in that regard:)"

Meteu asks, "Shrevo and Lia what do you like best about Fed?"

Liakell smiles, "after you Shrevo :)"

Shrevo says, "they way everyone likes to help people especially the new recruits"

Liakell says, "I'm all about the fact that Bella lets us add our own touches to the game... first with our companies, and then later with our planets"

Shrevo says, "in order to succeeed you really need to work with others to get where you need to be"

Liakell says, "it's not just a bunch of players forever stuck in a never changing environment"

Meteu asks, "How long did it take you guys to design your planets?"

Shrevo says, "mine i put togther in about two days then took about a week to go through and check all the spelling and grammer mistakes"

Shrevo says, "still have about 25 more locations in mind for the next level"

Liakell says, "i took about 2 weeks to write up my planet and system... I wanted to make as complete a picture as possible with them... rather than just writing... you're in a bar... the end"

Meteu smiles, "Only a week, I'm still finding some in mine:)"

Liakell says, "hehe"

Liakell says, "that's ok... regardless of how much time you take... you're going to find something later on and be like "crap... now I have to send in a new file just to fix that little thing...""

Shrevo says, "there may be some but i went over each spot about 8 times"

Meteu asks, "What was the inspiration behind your planets?"

Shrevo says, "for me it was the local town near me."

Meteu asks, "What about you Lia?"

Liakell drawls, "i thought about my local airport... up to the point i wrote my planet... i had seen so many landing pads on planets where you land your shuttle and suddenly you're in the middle of a city..."

Liakell says, "so i really wanted to focus on making a working spaceport for people to walk through"

Meteu asks, "That sounds very cool. Is there anything that you guys dislike about Fed?"

Liakell says, "The dreaded financier rank =op"

Shrevo says, "the only regret is not having enough time to really play it"

Meteu says, "Fin and Trader seem to be the most popular answers"

Shrevo says, "actually trader i liked when i got the hang of it"

Liakell says, "seriously though... I wish there was a way to speed up progress one you're a planet owner, however... that then makes things go TOO quickly... it's a hard balance that bella has to walk"

Meteu asks, "Is there anything you'd like to see added?"

Shrevo says, "dont mind taking the time to do it. easy just seems like you are trying to cheat"

Shrevo says, "a way to leave mail for other players in game. but i hear that is in the works eventually"

Liakell asks, "hmm... i hadn't really thought of it too much, but i would like to see more things for PO's to do than just haul to manipulate their economies... maybe install some type of governmental systems and add some politcal intrigue to the game?"

Shrevo says, "or like a noticeboard build so owners could post notices on it for factory owners to read or for others to read"

Meteu smiles, "Both sound like excellent ideas:)"

Meteu asks, "Are there any questions for Shrevo or Lia?"

Shrevo says, "my alts know better than to ask me questions"

Meteu asks, "Anyone?"

Occy asks, " what would like to see in the fedceconomy?"

Liakell asks, "How many alts do you have Shrevo? and why did you decide to make them?"

Shrevo says, "have this one and two more. when this one was stuck in trader mode i created a new one to start over. the 3rd one came to help put facs on my planet when i would get one."

Shrevo says, "not sure what i would like to see in the fed economy"

Liakell says, "well as for the fedeconomy... i wouldn't mind getting some bonuses for certain things and minuses for others depending on the type of governmental system... the ability to put in tariffs on certain goods possibly.. the ability to boycott... or just certain types of governments refusing to work together for whatever reason... there's a LOT of things i could think of.... just not sure what's feasible without breaking the current coding and what bella would think still fits the vision of the game\"

Occy says, "that seems to be a po thing since you can't get dependable fo's"

Shrevo says, "i remember the tariffs from the old duchie systems how you got taxed for bringing goods in"

Occy says, "i too would like to see tariff agin"

Meteu asks, "How did that work?"

Liakell says, "ya... well i admit to having an FO alt simply to make sure that my planets have employed workthingies and for making sure that some trading is going on at all times"

Occy nods

Shrevo says, "i think what ever duchy you were in had tarifs for systems they didnt like and no tarifs for systems that were allies"

Liakell exclaims, "I want to give a shout out to my old duchy Lothlorien, and some of my old friends who aren't around anymore... Carolejea... Karaathvanja, and Emie... miss you all!"

Occy says, "i would like to see individual commodity ikt would slow and help sales"

Meteu asks, "what Occy?"

Liakell says, "hmm... quiet bunch tonight besides occy and us =)"

Shrevo says, "well my two alts are here as well."

Liakell says, "ah... so ya... they're not going to say much"

Shrevo says, "they know to keep silent"

Occy says, "it would aloow taxes on goods or tax bonuses"

Meteu says, "Ah"

Meteu asks, "Any other questions for our guests this evening?"

Shrevo says, "lia what amount did you start you planet with"

Occy says, "i can't ask many as i missedc the begining of the meet"

Liakell says, "i waited until my company had made 300mig before i promoted... that way i could get a few builds under my belt"

Shrevo says, "i started my planet when i had enough shares in my company to give me over 200 meg. that way i could build 5 canals, 4 schools, and 1 agricollege right at the beginning"

Shrevo says, "that was 200 meg after everyone else got paid that is."

Liakell says, "ya... all necessary builds for sure"

Meteu asks, "Do you guys gave any advice for new PO's?"

Liakell drawls, "be patient while figuring out what strategy works for you..."

Liakell says, "i'm a technocrat and i'm just now happy with the way i've set up my planet's hauls"

Shrevo says, "i would say make sure you have enough money to start it properly. otherwise you might be constantly hauling to try to earn the money for the builds"

Occy asks, "not to be personal what rank are you now and what is your treasury amount?"

Shrevo says, "been two weeks at founder treastury is currently at 54 meg but that doesn't take into account all the money tied up in my stockpiles"

Occy says, "good point"

Shrevo says, "with stockpiles i would guess at close to 130 to 140 meg maybe"

Liakell says, "oh and for the record, i HATE walking up exchanges"

Shrevo says, "took me a few days to type the commands correctly kept resetting my stockpiles by mistake"

Liakell says, "ouch"

Meteu asks, "Do you have any strategies for getting that done?"

Shrevo says, "didn't help that i was very sleepy at the time also"

Occy says, "there needs two spreads one foe sales and to manufacture with"

Shrevo says, "for me was just work on one part of the exchange at a time. walked that section up. then started on the next section."

Liakell says, "strategies for walking up? take it a day at a time and ignore your treasury while doing it, otherwise you'll just get sad seeing yourself go negative"

Occy nods

Meteu asks, "Sounds like solid advice to me. Any other questions?"

Shrevo says, "none from me"

Meteu asks, "Anybody?"

Meteu says, "on that note we'll end the official Meet and Greet, thank you both for being here."
