Atmospheric Control
Description:
The basic terraforming which new planets start with is good enough for an agricultural economy with a relatively low level, scattered population. However, the activities of sentient beings at higher economic levels can rapidly upset the balance of the atmosphere, leading to a rapid decline in quality.
Effect:
For each level above agricultural, the planet must have two atmospheric control builds (for example, resource planets need two, industrial four and so on). Failure to build the modules results in a 5% increase in disaffection for each missing build.
In addition, one atmospheric control build is required (along with one pollution control) to offset the side-effects of each coal power build.
Duration:
Atmospheric control modules can be built at any time.
Command:
'BUILD ATMOS'. You can remove the build with 'DEMOLISH ATMOS'.
