KICK THE CAN

After some prodding, and a lot of begging, we were able to gather together 5 players for Kick the Can: Angelfowl, Fancy, Kella, Mentallyhazed, and Monkey. I, on the other hand, was experiencing technical difficulties (don't I always??) so it took a bit to get the game started. Prometheus was our guest Can for the day, and once we finally got underway, we played 3 time-shortened rounds.

Round one began with a flurry of activity, the Kickers anxious to get on with the game. Angelfowl, having returned from vacation, was the first off the starting line, followed close behind by Kella and Fancy. Because we were running short on time, our rounds were shortened to 5 mins each, which made for an exciting dash for kicks! Round one ended with only Fancy having scored 4 kicks.

Round two began just as quickly as round one, with Angelfowl bounding ahead of the field again. She and Monkey, a first time Kick the Can player, dominated this second short round with 6 kicks each, while Kella got on the board by kicking her roommate's hubby twice.

To add a little drama to this final round, I decided to offer a slithy to the winner of the game, bringing a round of shouts from the crowd. Round three was almost a shutout, with Prometheus dodging kicks left and right, and trying his best to keep his Can intact. Finally, Fancy scored another 3 kicks, the only scores of round three.

The final scores were... Kella is third place with 2 kicks, Angelfowl and Monkey tied for second place with 6 kicks, and Fancy edging by once again with 7 kicks to take the win. Since Fancy is staff, the slithy went to Angelfowl and Monkey.... and since no one really wants half a slithy, I decide to award them each one of their very own!

Kick the Can is played on alternating Sundays at 4.00pm eastern. Thanks to everyone who came out to play, and a big thanks to our guest Can, Prometheus!!
