GALACTIC ADMIN INCREASES FACTORY LIMIT Remember back in the dim and distance past, before the Interstellar Link was thrown open, when we were restricted to the Solar System and had to squeeze all of our factories onto the planets, moons, asteroids and space stations that were tied to our own sun? There was such a pressure on space for building, and on workthings to man (or woman or thing) the production lines, that the Galactic Administration decided to limit companies to ten factories each. Fast forward to today, and now everyone is leaving the Solar System like marsrats leaving a scuttled spaceship. The industrial areas on all planets are becoming empty wasteland, as CEOs tour the galaxy looking for prime locations for their factories on all those new planets being opened up. Unemployment in Sol is starting to rise and the authorities are getting worried. So the GA has done a U-turn and has raised the factory limit back to its previous level. The new rule came into effect at today's reset, and allows companies to own 15 factories again. |
