![]() FEDPARDY Tuesday February 28 by Fancy-Fancy Three players joined me in Studio 1 for tonight's edition of Fedpardy. We had a new player Sunni, along with Jessecka and Robius come to the studio, with my lovely Antonia watching on the channel. I went over the rules and how to play Fedpardy for Sunni, and made sure any questions he had on playing were answered. With that done, I had the players spin for the initial selection, and Robius got that. I then revealed tonight's categories, which were: Look Before You Leap, Henry the "ate", Y Not, and Asteroids. Robius selected Y Not for 1 to start the game, and we were underway. Sunni rang in and got the first point of the night, and promptly made it the first four with Y Not for 2 and Asteroids for 1. Jessecka then put together a run of her own, grabbing the 2 in Asteroids, then the 1 and 2 in Henry the "ate" before missing on the 3, and then finding the first Daily Double under the 4. Deciding to risk 2 points on it, this was the answer she received in Henry the "ate":
Sadly, Jessecka had no idea. The correct word for this one was "cultivate". The miss left Jessecka at 0 points, but still with control of the board. She decided to finish off the Henry the "ate" category for 5, and Sunni rang in on it, but missed, and no one else tried it. Sunni rebounded, though, by ringing in on Y Not for 3 and getting it to close out the Fedpardy round. That gave him a 1-0 lead heading into Double Fedpardy. Jessecka got the first selection of Double Fedpardy as the one trailing, and she picked Look Before You Leap for 2. Sunni rang in on it, but got it incorrect to lose 2 points. That ended up being the only ring-in on the entire category, as everybody passed on the others. Jessecka then used the selection to pick Asteroids for 6. That uncovered the other Daily Double. Jessecka decided to go for 10 on the Daily Double, and this was the answer:
Jessecka clearly agonized over this one, trying to come up with what the location was called, but couldn't come up with Security Station. Jessecka selected Asteroids for 10 next, and Sunni rang in and gave the correct question to it for 10 points, putting him back on the plus side. The rest of the answers ended up getting passed, making the answers after Double Fedpardy:
Sunni was the only one with points to risk in Final Fedpardy tonight, and played this one alone. I revealed the category of Colorful Colonies, and Sunni decided on his wager. After the usual reminder to make sure to phrase your responses in the form of a question, I verified Sunni's readiness, and when he confirmed it, I revealed tonight's Final Fedpardy answer from Colorful Colonies:
When time was up, we looked at Sunni's response. It was, "What is orange?" The correct color, though, was red. Sunni's wager was 1 point, leaving him with 8, and it was with that score that Sunni claimed this week's Fedpardy championship. Congratulations, Sunni! Join me again for Fedpardy on March 14 at 10.00pm eastern in Studio 1 on the Lattice. I'll be hosting the Fed Phrase Game there on March 7, also starting at 10.00pm eastern. Come join me for Fed's televised game shows on Tuesday nights. |
