CHANGES FOR PLANET-OWNERS

Along with the new infrastructure builds comes another change for POs. From tomorrow (Monday), when you expropriate a factory your planet will no longer gain a production point.

When we originally put in the ability to confiscate unwanted factories, it did not occur to us how tempting the ability to rack up extra production points would be to POs. Of course, with Fed being free, it costs nothing except time to set up an alt and work it up to one of the company-owning ranks, and some POs have been doing this in abundance, just so they can expropriate their own alts' factories and gain the production points. I guess this falls under the law of unintended consequences.

Since not all POs have been taking advantage of this loophole, we think it only fair to put everyone back on the same level, so at tomorrow's reset we are going to re-roll every planet's exchange. This will remove any extra production points. However, we won't be touching bank balances so the groats you made by having boosted your production over the past months will not be lost.

This is going to affect factory owners, because the goods the planet produces and consumes is likely to change, so after tomorrow's reset you will need to check your factories and make the appropriate adjustments to compensate for the changes in the planet's consumption and production.

At the same time, Bella will do the monthly backups, so the reset tomorrow will take longer than usual.
