REAL LIFE NEWS: THEFT MAKES HOUSE EXPLODE

Two men who were trying to steal copper pipe from a boarded-up house in West Bromwich, England, got a very nasty shock when they blew up the property. One of the men was blown out of an upstairs window by the blast.

Police believe the thieves were sawing through a pipe without first checking the gas was disconnected.

The whole street had to be evacuated for a while to allow structural engineers to inspect adjoining buildings for damage.
