GEEK TOY: BACON WAKING

Here's a novelty alarm clock with a real difference. Instead of waking you up with a raucous buzzer or bell, or by playing music, it plays the sizzle of cooking bacon - and wafts the smell across the room. It's the brainchild of some young product designers, who modified the mechanism of a standard alarm clock to start cooking a strip of bacon (which you place in the clock the night before) 10 minutes before you want to wake up.

I have no idea if the bacon is edible at the end of this process! It would be disappointing to be woken up salivating and find you couldn't eat it...
