REAL LIFE NEWS: STRANGE SHAPE AT SATURN'S POLEby HazedThe Cassini spacecraft has snapped a very odd picture of Saturn. It shows a six-sided, honeycomb-shaped feature circling the north pole of the planet, which is intriguing scientists with the NASA mission. Actually, the pictures of the hexagon were not a huge surprise – the same feature showed up in images taken by Voyager 1 and 2 over twenty years ago, but the fact that it's still there to be seen by Cassini shows that it is a long-lived phenomenon. For more info and to see a picture of the odd hexagon, go to the NASA web site. |
