REAL LIFE NEWS: A VERY UNUSUAL ROADBLOCKby HazedCity-dwellers get used to hearing reports about roads blocked by traffic, particularly in cities with narrow streets that were never designed with cars in mind. A broken down van or an accident can bring traffic to a standstill but in Mumbai (the Indian city formerly known as Bombay) there's a roadblock being caused by something quite unusual - a plane! A disused Boeing 737, minus its wings and tail, was being driven through the city last weekend on a truck when the driver got lost. He took a wrong turn and found himself facing a flyover that was much too low for him to get the plane under it. So he ran off and left it! The decommissioned plane used to belong to a private air company called Air Sahara, and it was being taken by road to the capital, Delhi, where it was to be used at a flight training academy. Now its blocking a road and annoying local businesses, although it's also become something of a tourist attraction. Nobody is taking responsibility for moving it. Take a look at some pictures of the abandoned plane on the BBC news site.
