ON THE WEB: THE EAST CRATER ON THE MOONby HazedThe anniversary of the first moon landing was on July 20. On that day Back in 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin took the first steps on our moon. Of course, they took a lot of great pictures while they were there, so they could trump anyone who later tried to dazzle them with their holiday snaps. Here's a great one: it's a panorama of their landing sight next to the East Crater in the Sea of Tranquility, showing the Eagle, the lunar module, in the background.
