WHAT NEXT?

Now the Techno rank is in, Alan will turn his attention back to revamping the event editor, which POs can use to create exciting special effects on their planets. Technocrat is the rank at which you will be allowed to add objects, mobiles and events to your planet - but you will have to wait for Alan to complete his work on the tools.

Some of the things you will be able to do will be: move players around the map (although not from one map to another); put customized food and drink on sale in your bars; sell objects in shops; add talking mobiles - in fact, many of the things you can do on Sol planets, you'll be able to write events for on your own planet.

Although there is an event editor which Alan and I use to write the special effects for the Sol planets, it's a little bit flaky, and not fit to be released to the general public. That's why Alan is re-writing it; he wants to make it a little easier to use, and more reliable, too! This is a complex piece of work, and I am not going to attempt to guess the estimate of the possible amount of time that it will maybe take. You will just have to wait and see, as will I!
