FREYA'S QUIZ OF THE WEEK
by Freya
This week, the winner of Freya's quiz was so excellent an entry that I couldn't wait to share it with you all. If you recall, the question was:
What has it gots in its pocketses? You can put three small objects from the Solar System into your pocket - what will they be?
The best answer we received to this question included some very persuasive reasons, which is why I picked it as the winner. Here's what it said:
After an exhaustive search of Sol I've found three items that will fit in my pocket and have something in common:
The buggy authorization keycard from Tracey on Phobos
The paperclips from Castillo
The particle necklace from Pearl
Here's the common thread:
Take the keycard and attach the paperclip chain on the edge of the magnetic strip. Insert the keycard into the ATM behind the Sun and manipulate the particle necklace around the free end of the paperclip chain until the computer is fooled by the changing magnetic field and groats begin to pour from the ATM.
If you get bored during the millennium it will take to actually achieve this result...
Put the keycard flat on your desk. Arrange the particle necklace on top of the card and begin to add the paperclips in an esthetically pleasing manner. The magnetic necklace will enable you to arrange the paperclips at all sorts of angles and in patterns. It's a magnetic desk sculpture toy.
Jezz
We were so impressed by the cleverness of this answer that we decided to award a special prize and the first recipient is Jezz. This incredibly rare and valuable prize is not available in stores or mail order, you can only win it by impressing the judges with awesome answers. Ask Jezz to show you hers. Send in your best effort answers to each week's quiz and maybe it will be your turn to win this fabulous and coveted item, too!
Next week's Quiz question is:
What animal in Sol would you want to adopt and why?
Send your answer to barb@ibgames.com (please put Fed2 in the subject line). The deadline is last thing on Friday. The winner gets his, her or its name in next week's Fed2 Star - and the surprise prize if your answer is really impressive.
And congratulations to this week's winner Jezz!
