FEDERGORIES

This week I had three people join me for Federgories: Kalandra, Fancy and Meteu. The theme for the week was Dog days of August".
Our first category was "Breeds of dogs starting with... H." Kalandra and Fancy matched with "Hound" and Meteu said: "Husky."
Second we had "Unusual house pets starting with... R." Kalandra said "rainbow fish," Fancy said "reptiles" and Meteu said, "rodent."
Our first Fed Category was "Fed planet starting with... C." Kalandra said "chiron," Fancy said "Catseye" and Meteu said "castillo."
Then we had "Annoying Summer insects starting with... M" and "Animals that live underground starting with... G" and "Fed player starting with... F."
The nex category was "Microscopic animals starting with... A." Meteu said, "Ant," Fancy said "amoeba" and Kalandra also said, "amoeba." Apparently, I need to do more research on starting letters for some categories. There is only one microscopic animal starting with A.
The next category was "Breeds of Cats starting with... S." All three players came back with "siamese" so no points where scored in this round.
Then the last Fed round was "Fed commodity starting with... P." Meteu and Fancy said: "Proteins" and Kalandra said "Pharms."
Finally we had our bonus round category. After a quick refresher, we jumped right in with "Metaphors using animals!"
After a minute had passed we had these answers:
Fancy said, "cool cat, soft as a bunny, lazy dog, cute as a bunny, quick as a cat, sly as a fox, ape the ape, rat on the rat, monkey with the monkey"
Kalandra said, "drunk as a skunk, slimy as an eel, slippery as fox, crazy like a fox, dumb as a dodo, crazy like a chicken with its head cut off, proud as a peacock, coward like an ostrich"
Then I calculated the final scores which turned out to be:
Meteu in third with... 6 points!
In second with 16 points - Fancy!
And winning by one point (17) - Kalandra!!
