REAL LIFE NEWS: HUMAN BED WARMING SERVICE IN HOTELSby HazedHere's a really creepy idea. Holiday Inn have started to offer a "human bed warming service" at its hotel in London's upmarket Kensington district. If a visitor to the hotel requests it, a member of the hotel staff, dressed in a head to foot all-in-one sleeper suit, will jump into your bed to warm it up for you. "Like having a giant hot water bottle in your bed," said the Holiday Inn spokesman who announced this. No, it's not. It's like having a stalker slip under your sheets and wait for you. One of the joys of staying in a hotel is the crisp, fresh sheets which nobody has slept in yet. Having a human get in first - even if they are dressed in a big romper suit to make sure they don't leave hairs or skin flakes in the bed - just means you are getting second-hand sheets. Thank you, but no. I will stick to a real hot water bottle. Or maybe an electric blanket. |
