SPEAKING OF SLITHY TOVES... WE NEED YOU TO BUY SOME

Another month rolls around, and another bill drops onto the doormat at Habitat Hazed. It's time to pay the company that hosts Fed2 and arranges for us to be connected to the rest of the world, so you can log on and play.

Since we don't charge you to pay Fed2, we have to find the money for this bill in other ways - which we do by selling slithy toves. Slithies are tokens which can be used in the game for all sorts of things, including the charm mentioned in the previous article. Among other things, slithies can get you navcomps, teleporters, price checkers and all kinds of add-ons for planet design.

One slithy tove costs $5 in real life cash. You can make a purchase of up to ten slithies, or you can subscribe to receive four slithies each month at a massively reduced price of £8 (eight UK pounds) which at the current exchange rate works out at around $12 - and since four slithies would normally cost $20, that's a helluva saving.

If enough people buy slithies this month, it means I don't have to pay out any of my own hard-earned cash to keep Fed2 going!
