GADGET OF THE WEEK: THE INVISIBLE MOUSEby HazedSome clever students at MIT have invented a mouse that isn't there. "Mouseless" means you move your hand around and tap your fingers, as if you were using a mouse, but there's no actual gadget - and the computer still knows what you mean. It works using an infrared beam and a camera. You can watch a video showing it in action here - and what's more, they use extracts from an old Tom and Jerry cartoon to illustrate the concept.
