NEW HALLOWEEN CHARM ON SALEby HazedNot wanting to be outdone by his old rival Diesel, Anton Gallagher has put a Halloween-themed charm on sale. It is a tiny pumpkin, carved into a miniature jack-o-lantern complete with little candle inside which you can light up. Anton Gallagher has asked me to print this statement, and since he has been very generous in buying advertising space in previous issues of the Star, it only seems sensible to go along with him: "Neither Gallagher's of Earth, Anton Gallagher, nor any of their employees can be held responsible for any damage to individuals who purchase the pumpkin charm. Customers do so at their own risk and must accept all liability for injury or death." Well, that seems very draconian! But I am sure there's nothing to worry about - just one of those "health and safety gone mad" things I expect. Although I am at a loss to explain the orange teeth-marks on the paper containing this statement. You can buy the charm from Gallagher's on Earth for one slithy tove with 'BUY PUMPKIN', then 'SHAKE PUMPKIN CHARM' to light the candle inside. 'CLIP PUMPKIN CHARM' will add it to your keyring so that anybody looking at you will see it. Last month's charm, the beer stein, has been taken off the shelves - but I understand that since it wasn't a complete sell-out, the assistant will let you have one for two slithies, so long as you keep quiet about it and don't tell her boss. |
