I HAVE IN MY HAND A PIECE OF CODE

Well, it's not physically in my hand, it's in an email, but Alan has sent to me the code for the new version of the game which allows mobiles to move around under their own power.

As soon as I have finished publishing today's issue of the Star I will upgrade my own personal copy of Fed with the new code, so I can test out the moving mobile stuff. Of course, before I can do that I have to create a moving mobile using the new tools that were released last week.

Then I can tell Alan about any bugs I find, wait while he tries to convince me they are not bugs but meant to happen like that, then finally gives in with one final moan and agrees to fix them.

So this means the new code is almost ready, and depending on the complexity of any bugs I find, it could go into the game next weekend. Fingers crossed.
