REAL LIFE NEWS: DUCT TAPE - IS THERE ANYTHING IT CAN'T DO?

A man who tried to rob a bar came a cropper when a customer whacked him on the head - and he was then tied up with duct tape to keep him secure until police arrived.

Shane Cunningham, 20 years old, walked into Kat's on the River in Knoxville, Tenn. and brandished a pellet gun. He demanded that the bartender and customers give him money.

As he threatened a couple of women with the gun, a man crept up behind him and hit him. Several other patrons then joined in to help subdue him. That's when the duct tape came out, to restrain the criminal while police were called.

The perp was taken to hospital to have a head wound treated, and will presumably now be charged with attempted robbery.

Let's hear it for duct tape, the product with a myriad of uses!
