REAL LIFE NEWS: RUGGED iPAD FALLS FROM SPACE - AND LIVES

G-Form, the manufacturer of a rugged case for computers, decided that the best way to demonstrate how good its hardware is at protecting tablets was to launch an iPad into space and then let it fall back to Earth.

They wrapped the iPad in one of its products, the Extreme Edge case, and used a weather balloon which bursts at altitude to send it soaring into the stratosphere. When it reached 100,000 feet, it started to plummet, and eventually crash-landed in Nevada on a rocky hillside.

When it was retrieved, the iPad still worked - well, obviously it did, otherwise this wouldn't be much of a news story!
