REAL LIFE NEWS: CRIMINALS BLUNDER INTO POLICE CHRISTMAS PARTY

Two suspected thieves came a cropper when they picked the wrong pub to carry out their crimes - because the local police were there having their Christmas bash!

The two men appeared to fit the descriptions of suspects wanted for theft of bags, following a spate of thefts from pubs. Their method involved placing magazines over bags then stealing them.

Off-duty officers in The Merchant Pub in South London noticed the two men acting suspiciously, and thought they resembled the descriptions, so the two were arrested and charged with going equipped to steal. They will appear in court later this month.
