REAL LIFE NEWS: LAPTOPS MAY DAMAGE FERTILITYby HazedMen, take that notebook computer off your laps right now. You could be endangering your fertility. No, it's not the heat of the laptop that is the concern: it's the wi-fi connection. Laboratory tests have suggested that sperm were significantly damaged after only four hours of exposure to wi-fi. They were less able to swim and had changes in their genetic code. However, before you start to panic, this was not a real-life setting and the sperm were not safely housed inside a male body, so the scientists say there's nothing to worry about. Probably. But they are recommending more studies. I won't go into the details here because it's all a bit yucky and it uses words that might trigger all kinds of filters, but if you're interested you can read all about it here. |
