REAL LIFE NEWS: FOX ON THE PHONE
by Hazed
If you received a text message that was just random gibberish you might think your friend had butt-texted you. But in the case of the a 16-year old from Norway, the strange text message was sent by... a fox!
Lars Andreas Bjercke had wanted to attract foxes, so he installed an app on his phone that imitated the sounds of rabbits. As a result, a fox visited his yard and circled around it, but to get it to come closer, after a couple of nights, Bjercke put the phone down and walked away.
Thus emboldened, the fox approached the phone - and stole it! Yes, it grabbed it and ran off. Bjercke gave chase but wasn’t able to catch the foxy thief.
He tried calling up the stolen phone, hoping he’d hear the ring tone and be able to track the phone down... but the fox actually answered the phone. All he heard was some crackling and noises.
Later, one of his friends received the cryptic text mssage: Jlv In ø \ a0ab 34348tu åaugjoi zølbmosdji jsøg ijio sjiw. No, we don’t know what the fox was trying to say. Shame the predictive text didn’t help.
To make this story even better, Bjercke has a video of the fox stealing the phone. Fantastic!
