TEST FED WILL BE OPEN TO ALL

We’re setting up a new test version of Fed - and we’re throwing it open to all of you!
In the past, we’ve restricted access to test Fed to staff members only. But right now, we need all the help we can get in trying to fix the ongoing crash problem. Alan’s tearing his hair out and if something doesn’t happen soon, he’ll end up completely bald.
We’ve already run two BugFest events, where we turn the game into “save-free” mode for 24 hours, and they were very useful. But these events are disruptive to players, not to mention involving technical work to set up. So now we plan to provide all players with access to a separate version of the game, our test version, which will be loaded up with debug and monitoring. We’ll want you to set up lots of new characters, and attempt to make the game crash. Alan should then be able to use the information about what was going on in the server’s memory to figure out, once and for all, why it keeps crashing.
It’ll be like a 24/7 BugFest.
We hope to have the new test version of Fed up and running next weekend, so if all goes to plan, I’ll tell you how to access it in next week’s Star.
