REAL LIVE NEWS: UNIVERSAL COOLING

Never mind debates about whether global warming is a thing or not. We now know that the universe is getting colder.
It’s already very cold - the average temperature of the universe is 2.73 Kelvin, according to CSIRO’s Australia Telescope Compact Array and an international team of scientists. But as well as calculating its current state of coldness, they have been able to state the rate at which it is cooling: roughly one degree every three billion years.
This cooling is predicted by big bang theory, so it’s not a surprise, but it’s nice to have confirmation!
