DUMB CRIMINAL OF THE WEEK: IDENTIFY ME!

Here’s a tip for anyone wanting a career as a thief: don’t leave stuff at the scene of the crime that will help the police to identify you.
For example: wear gloves so you don’t leave fingerprints. WB careful about anything that might contain your DNA.
And above all, don’t drop documents that tell the police who you are!
Boston police couldn’t believe their luck when a man snatched a woman’s wallet - and left his own birth certificate and a letter from his mom behind him. They didn’t exactly have to exert themselves to find him, or deploy their detective skills to figure out whodunit.
The dumb criminal was Zachary Tentoni, 26 years old. Armed with his name (from the documents) and a description (from the victim), police were able to track him down rapidly. He’s now in jail awaiting trial for unarmed robbery.
