WEDDING FAILURE OF THE WEEK
by Hazed
Last week I told you about the ultimate sci-fi themed wedding where Dr Who’s robot dog acted as a ring bearer.
The trend for unusual ring bearers continues with this story – but it doesn’t end so successfully.
The creature employed to carry the rings to the altar was... an owl. It was meant to come sweeping down to deliver the rings which were tied to its leg with red ribbon. How romantic!
But instead, it flew up into the rafters of the church and fell asleep. After everyone tried unsuccessfully for an hour to coax the dozy bird down, the vicar officiating at the wedding decided to carry on using a set of back-up wedding rings.
Actors always say “never work with children or animals”. Perhaps those planning weddings need to adopt the same rule!
