CHARACTER AND PLANET PICTURES
by Hazed
Last week, for the first time in a long time, we told you about a new FedTerm character picture. Well, you could knock me down with a feather, but there’s another one this week – and a planet picture, as well. How nice to have a sudden rush.
The character picture shows us Jarin, a male verokhior. I have no idea what one of those is, but he looks more or less human. Looks can, of course, be deceptive!
Judge for yourself by going to the FedTerm picture gallery. Download the picture by right-clicking on the image, selecting Save As... and putting it in the pictures sub-folder of the your FedTerm folder. You can then see it when you do a SpyNet Notice on the player, or examine him in person.
As well as his self-portrait, Jarin has sent us a picture of one of his planets. Vantek, in the Hof system, is a very pretty blue and white planet. Of course, looks could be deceptive here as well. Not that I am paranoid. Who said I was?
You can see the planet pictures in FedTerm by clicking on the system display tab to look at a planet’s details. Go and download the new pic from the planet gallery by right-clicking and selecting Save As... from the menu, then saving them to your computer in the FedTerm\planets folder.
If you want to let other people see what you, or your planet, looks like, you should make a picture to show us and mail it to feedback@ibgames.com (remember to put Fed2 in the subject line). Character pictures are 80 pixels wide by 96 high; planet pictures are 172 pixels square. Both should be in .bmp format. Character pictures should be named after your character, ie pugwash.bmp or newbod.bmp. Planet pictures should have a filename to match the planet name, ie marina.bmp or rigel 4.bmp.
