INVENTOR OF THE WEEK: REAL WOLVERINE CLAWS

Wolverine is one of the star characters of the X-Men movies and he’s back on the screen in their new film, Days of Future Past (an excellent film, I recommend it). His main characteristic is that he has metallic claws that extrude from his knuckles when he needs them.
But if you wanted to dress up as Wolverine yourself, could you emulate those claws? Well, yes, if you were a mad boffin like Colin Furze, who has made his very own set of fully retractable steel claws.
Watch a video of Colin demonstrated these potentially lethal Wolverine claws as he laughs maniacally. There’s also a second video that shows how the claws were made. But I wouldn’t recommend you try this at home, kids!
