NO NEWS NEXT WEEK
by Hazed
The summer silly season has started and stories that I can use as “real life news” are starting to get thin on the ground. Normally I have plenty to choose from so I can pick the ones I think you will like the best and have some left over for the following week, but this week I struggled to find enough stories to fill up the whole bulletin, even using up those stories I had held over from previous issues.
The Star won’t be published next week – Alan has family obligations, and I’m treating the weekend as a short holiday, taking the Friday and Monday off work. With any luck, by the time we return on June 29, I’ll have managed to find some more news!
Meanwhile, the newsdroids are planning a picnic and they are going to invite their old colleagues, Diesel’s waitdroids, who will be bringing the food. They are preparing all kinds of delicacies fit for robots, including droidslaw, which is their metallic version of the salad – burnished metal shavings, in a cutting oil mayo.
Meanwhile, I’m continuing to work my way through the new Location Editor searching for… erm… “issues”. This is a very complex program so it’s no surprise that it is not perfect right away, but I think the major problems are now dealt with and any new bugs I find are just going to be minor tweaks. I’ll tell you more when the Star returns.
