REAL LIFE NEWS: HEAVY METAL ON MARS

Curiosity has found a big lump of metal on Mars which came from outer space. It’s a meteorite which probably consists mostly of iron, and at 6.5 feet wide it’s considerably larger than any spotted on the planet by previous rovers.
The source link below shows a photo of the massive meteorite, taken in May. The image was created by joining together a set of high-resolution images taken using Curiosity’s Remote Micro-Imager and combining them with other images from the rover’s Mastcam, to provide colour and context.
The result is a detailed image that shows the meteorite, which has been named Lebanon, next to a smaller fragment, Lebanon B. No, I don’t know why they chose those names!
