REAL LIFE NEWS: SOME OF OUR BRAINS ARE MISSING
by Hazed
Speaking of brainsā¦ The University of Texas has lost some brains. About 100 of them. Professors are baffled.
The brains that have gone missing are pickled in jars. About 30 years ago, a local hospital loaned the brains to the university and half were put into the psychology lab. But there wasn’t room for all the brains to be displayed, so the rest, about 100 of them, were stored in the basement. And now they aren’t there any more.
So has the University been invaded by zombies, intent on feasting on juicy brains (which everyone knows is their favourite food?) Well, the professors don’t actually know where the brains, which are preserved in formaldehyde, have gone, but they suspect the culprits are students who have stolen the organs for Halloween pranks, or to use as bizarre ornaments. Yes, that sounds like the kind of things medical students would do.
The University thinks that amongst the missing brains is that belonging to Charles Whitman, a sniper who shot 46 people and killed 16 when he was a student on the campus in 1966.
Well, you know how easy it to lose track to stuff you put into storageā¦ but for 100 brains to go missing is quite a loss!
