Too much of a good thing isn’t always wonderful. Take jogging. While jogging at a steady pace a moderate amount of time is good for you, it turns out that excessive running is not, and running for more than four hours a week is just as bad for you as not running at all.
Scientists studied 1,000 people over 12 years, some of whom jogged and some who did not. They concluded that people who jogged most intensively were as likely to die as those who didn’t exercise. The effects were most marked in those who ran more than three times a week or at a pace of more than 7mph.
So take it easy. Jog, if you want, but not too much!
