SOLAR ECLIPSE VISIBLE IN UK ON FRIDAY
by Hazed
If you’re in the UK, you’d better keep your fingers crossed for a cloudless sky on Friday morning, because there’s going to be a solar eclipse – the last one we will see in this country until 2090.
Check out the source list below for details of where you can see the eclipse. In London it’s not going to be a total eclipse, but a partial one, with 84% of the sun covered by the moon. It will start at 8.45am and the maximum eclipse will be at 9.30am.
Further north, people in Scotland will see a 94% eclipse. For a total eclipse, you’ll have to travel to Scandinavia.
Just remember: don’t look directly at the eclipse without wearing special eclipse glasses because even when the sun is not visible, you can damage your eyes.
