FED FIGHTING FUND: WE DID IT!

Woo-hoo! Cheers, and large drinks all round. Thank you everybody who contributed to the Fed Fighting Fund. After we extended the deadline by a week, we received enough cash to meet the goal of $500. Target achieved!
That means Alan will now start work on putting ship fighting back into Fed. Along with that, he will work on a new version of FedTerm, so the ship display will show the weapons installed in the ship and any damage taken during a fight.
Alan will spend the Christmas break refining his plans for how fighting will work. By the time the Star returns in January, I should be able to give you some more details of his plans.
Once again, thanks to all of you who showed your commitment to this project by donating to the fund. Your names will be put on a plaque in Jarrow Shipyard on Earth when the fighting code goes live.
