VEGETABLES OF THE WEEK: STAR WARS

Carving vegetables into pretty shapes is an artform that usually takes flowers as its inspiration – carrots shaped like roses, that kind of thing. But this Japanese sushi chef decided his vegetables should emulate geek culture, so he’s turned them into Star Wars characters!
He’s been practicing his Star Wars carving techniques for ten years, using veggies such as carrots, cucumbers and sweet potatoes to create over 90 different characters from the films.
