PICTURES OF THE WEEK: THE SURFACE OF CERES

NASA’s Dawn probe is still in orbit around Ceres, and it has sent back some of the clearest views yet of the dwarf planet. The pictures show the Occator Crater and some of the intriguing bright surface features.
Dawn’s latest orbit of Ceres took it to within 920 miles of the surface. Take a look at the pictures of Ceres here.
