You think you are a rational person. When you make decisions, which you do all day, you assume you’re making logical choices. But you’re not. Whether it’s small decisions about what to have for lunch, to life-changing decisions about your career or your love life, your brain falls into all kinds of traps. These are called cognitive biases, and they can lead you to making decisions that are not in your own best interests.
You can guard against these biases if you know what they are, so this list of 20 of the biases that you are most likely to be affected by is very useful. It’s also an interesting insight into the workings of the mind.
