SILLY SEASON IN FULL SWING

In the UK we’ve just had our August public holiday, and much to everyone’s amazement, it didn’t rain. In fact, it was the hottest August bank holiday Monday since records began in 1965. (Of course, a few days later it was back to the grey and drizzly weather we are used to.)
Now the holidays are all but over and the kids are going back to school, but as far as news goes it’s still the silly season. I had a tough time finding real life stories to write about – I managed to get a full-sized bulletin together in the end but it was a struggle. Normally I have more than enough stories so I can pick and choose the best ones; this week I had to use everything I found.
With any luck things will pick up in the next week and I’ll have a good selection.
