REAL LIFE NEWS: MAP SHOWS WATER ON THE MOON

If we ever get around to building a moon colony, it is going to need water. The colonists will therefore find a new map that shows the places where traces of water have been found on the surface very useful.
Scientists used data taken from NASA’s Moon Mineralogy Mapper, which used an imaging spectrometer to sniff out water molecules. Researchers from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, plotted the abundance of molecules which suggest the presence of water to provide a handy map.
Given how arid the moon is, knowing where to find the small amounts of water on the satellite will be very important when future astronauts need it for drinking water or for fuel.
