VIDEO OF THE WEEK: PHOTO-BOMBING COMET
by Hazed
NASA’s TESS – that stands for Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite – is a new space-based telescope designed to search for exo-planets.
During its testing phase, it managed to snap something unexpected: a comet which suddenly moved into its field of vision. The images it snapped of the comet have been stitched into a video, which shows the comet moving across TESS’s field of vision from right to left.
