ZAND'S
FED RADIO TOP TEN1. Total Eclipse of the Heart -
Bonnie Tyler
The first time I really listened to the words of this
song was shortly after I had met someone I wanted to
spend the rest of my life with. Unfortunately, that was
not to happen and now this song reminds me of what real
love felt like.
2. Relax Frankie
Goes to Hollywood
From my club days
Ah the memories of the chase and
conquest, not to mention the booze!
3. Love Hurts
Nazareth
When you are unlucky at love you really need an anthem,
this is mine.
4. Poison Bell
Biv DeVoe
I used to hear this one everyday at the place where I got
lunch. It made work bearable.
5. Planet Clair -
B-52s
This song played about every other hour at the club I
went to in college, well, when I was supposed to be going
to college
nuff said!
6. Take Me to the River
Annie Lennox
I just love this version of a great song. Somewhere deep
inside I connect with the way this one was done, all
aspects of it.
7. White Rabbit -
Jefferson Airplane (this version)
I have always liked the music on this one, they way
its played and sung. I am not too hung up on the
meaning or the words.
8. Spirt in the Sky -
Norman Greenbaum
Same as number 7 here
just like the music
the
beat!
9. River of Dreams
Billy Joel
The first time I heard this song, I went out and bought
the CD. I had never gotten anything by Billy Joel and I
dont think I ever listened to anything else on this
CD. I had a fabulous dream about this song and I will not
go into that!
10. Stranglehold
Ted Nugent
Again, I just always liked the music on this one. I
dont know that I ever really listened to the words
until much later and I just like the composition of the
music.
Music has always been a large part of my life. I have
drowned in it on occasions when I got depressed. Music
was always able to express what I wanted to say when I
couldnt find the words to do so. I could always
find a song that said it better. It can pick you up or
make you crash, so be careful how you use it!
