"I'm always ready", says Zeroz with a wink. Zeroz says, "To run." Wolfkill winks and says, "Yeah, no big deal...just hundreds of fedders scrutinizing your entire life, asking questions....sounds like you're ready" Zeroz winks and says, "I get that daily" Wolfkill laughs Wolfkill smiles, "Yeah, guess that's true" "Oh! This just in... Netmndr is filling in for me tonight", says Zeroz with a wink. Chiefsgirl says, "Good evening and welcome to the Meet & Greet" Chiefsgirl says, "Every week we have the opportunity to meet a different Fed personality" Chiefsgirl says, "this week I'm pleased to introduce Duke Zeroz as our guest" "please make him feel welcome", says Chiefsgirl. Ditzy applauds Chiefsgirl applauds wildly and plops down on her barstool Briana applauds Jazir claps and smiles Heatherjn whistles loudly for her brother! Librarian tosses peanut shells. Redspice applauds Netmndr claps once ;) Neva claps for her Papa Sallyanne cheers for her brother! Zeroz grins and reminds some of the other people that CG did say "welcome" ;) Srgasman tips his hat "oh, did she?", says Netmndr with a wink. Bratt cheers and holds up a "Go Z!" sign! Redspice puts a tray of drinks close to Z... Netmndr cheers loudly! Wolfkill howls Sallyanne grins. "No drinks during the Meet and Greet, Red. I wouldn't want to get sober and tell everything!", exclaims Zeroz. Heatherjn laughs. Snowlily grins and winks at Lobo Sallyanne laughs! Lobo smiles... Redspice chuckles... Chiefsgirl orders up a few more rounds Redspice takes the drinks and starts tasting each one.. Ditzy smiles. Lobo pulls Juel down into his lap... Chiefsgirl says, "So Zeroz... tell us about your humble beginnings" "Well, my name is Zeroz. I used to go by the old name of ZERONOJ back on AOL Fed.", says Zeroz. Heatherjn remembers that name. ;) "My Fed days started bacy roughly in the winter of 1996. I made Captain and roamed Sol until someone asked me to do them a "favor"", says Zeroz. "I then found out what hauling was. Mind you, back then you could pay off a commander.", says Zeroz. "I never hauled as a commander", says Zeroz with a wink. Lobo grumbles...wishing he'd known that... Heatherjn laughs. "I ended up not being able to come back to Fed for a few months and when I finally did return I was in some Duchy and hadn't a clue what to do.", says Zeroz. "That's when Artopia asked me to do some work for her.", says Zeroz. Heatherjn smiles. Juel smiles, "good place to end up..." Neva grins Zeroz says, "Artopia helped me get to Dragoon, and bought me my first real hauling ship. I worked from that point on for the POs of Dragoon until finally making Squire around July/August of 96." Heatherjn smiles, "She was awesome." Zeroz says, "I then joined the Duchy myself. Yes.... Artopia was and is still one of my dearest friends." Zeroz winks and says, "She is also how I met my Fed mom, LCMing" "If it wern't for Artopia, I probably wouldn't even be around here. So you can all blame her!", exclaims Zeroz. Netmndr adds a name to his assassination list ;) "Shortly after I moved my planet into Dragoon, the unfortunate happened and we lost a very good Duke and someone who I looked up to greatly.", says Zeroz. Sallyanne blames Artopia, then giggles and hugs Z. Heatherjn sniffs. "I then spent a good deal of time in Sol, with the other few thousand planets in there until GoodnFast rescued me and let me join Io.", says Zeroz. "I stayed in Io until WebFed, and until I made some choices in my Real Life which made me leave Fed behind...", says Zeroz. "I think I left as a Thane. Can't remember. Might have been an Indy", says Zeroz with a wink. Neva whispers, "thane" Zeroz says, "I popped back in now and again, getting time credits to keep myself alive..." "I also spent some time in a newly rebuilt Onyx duchy while in my in-and-out days", says Zeroz with a wink. "I finally got back around July of 2000, and joined Shadowdonia where I made the climb straight to Baron", says Zeroz. Zeroz says, "I had only recently gotten my teleporter when I left Fed again, after my real life took things over once more..." Zeroz asks, "Then, I found myself drawn back around... um... May of 2001?" "I joined Tetons then and made the climb to where I am today", says Zeroz with a wink. "I know, I left out a bunch... you know, small things... like wives and kids and family", says Zeroz with a wink. Zeroz says, "I met Ravenleaf on AOL Fed, and was happily married to her for a while until Net Fed came. She never returned" "I adopted two FedKids with her...", says Zeroz. Zeroz smiles, "Someone who is known now on WebFed as Bri, Overlord of Putter... and someone who we all know as Cricket" Zeroz winks and says, "Somewhere along the lines, Cricket kinda adopted Neva I think..." Ops smiles, "Oh, I always liked Cricket" Neva giggles, nods "Then somehow Thulium and Cen worked into it", says Zeroz. Zeroz says, "and I think Hof too for a time? I can't remember" "yuppers, Hof too", smiles Neva. "He never accepted the fact", says Zeroz with a wink. Zeroz says, "Well, I met Antonia while I was in Tetons, and was happily married to her for a bit. Times and people change though, and we drifted apart. I am single now... I think Neka might still be of relation. Not totally sure on that." "I also was adopted by these two wonderful ladies here.. HJ and Sal", says Zeroz with a wink. Heatherjn smiles. "They are my two adorable sisters, since all my other Fed sibilings are no more.", says Zeroz. Sallyanne smiles. Zeroz winks and says, "Nccrm... Pompmart.. I think there were more" "To be honest... My memory lacks and it was a while ago. The families changed so much back then and during my absences that I could be related to all of Fed for all I know", says Zeroz with a wink. "heh..not me!", exclaims Paladin. Redspice looks at Z and whispers...Daddy?? "but that is me... I'm now the Host of Hide 'n Seek, and the writer of the newly released column in the Chronicle called "Workbench Wonders"", says Zeroz. "There's so much more... I was a social butterfly most of the time. Following people around. Spent some time in Necis floating and hung out with Phiddie a lot, so I visited Conner too.", says Zeroz. Fancy knows he has no blood relations with anyone else in Fed. Netmndr makes a note to avoid that article in the future ;) Zeroz says, "Jej1234 was an idol of sorts ;)(" "But well... there you have it. What I know and remember about my past", says Zeroz with a wink. Sallyanne grins. "How did you come to write a column on the workbench for the chronicle, Zeroz?", asks Chiefsgirl. Zeroz says, "Well... people who know me would always ask me questions about the workbench. I spent a good deal of time in there on the old AOL Fed, and I never had a problem figuring things out in it." "So I had the thought of writing my own "Guide" to it, but then I realized just how much work it would be", says Zeroz. Chiefsgirl nods Zeroz says, "So I decided to give a column a try" "Hazed liked it, so we ran with it.", says Zeroz. Bratt reads the article...and is more confused than she was before... ;) Zeroz winks and says, "Well, workbenching isn't for everyone" Sallyanne whistles innocently. Ditzy doesn't mind the WB. Chiefsgirl asks, "do you cover the workbench or genesis or both?" "Mainly the workbench. I personally don't like Genesis", says Zeroz. Zeroz says, "I use it for my event planet, but I don't use it for my personal planets" "In my real life, I've always been a 'command line' kind of guy.", says Zeroz. Chiefsgirl laughs "I like working with Linux and DOS, and I've just grown familiar with the command-prompt based ways of things", says Zeroz with a wink. "Death to Windows is what I say!", says Zeroz with a wink. Sallyanne giggles. "Tell us about how you came to host Hide & Seek and how that's going", says Chiefsgirl. "That was a spur of the moment thing actually. I saw Hazed ask for applicants to host, and I hurried one off thinking it would be fun.", says Zeroz. "I then worried and worried and bit my nails over it until Hazed finally met with me.", says Zeroz. Zeroz winks and says, "I've always been a writer, but never in Fed. I can write fast and good at the same time, so I figured why not expand into a game I like playing" "And as of right now, I really enjoy the event! It's fun doing both custom planets and player planets", smiles Zeroz. Chiefsgirl smiles Chiefsgirl asks, "Any questions for Zeroz?" "I do have to say one more thing though...", says Zeroz. Chiefsgirl looks around the audience Claire raises her hand Chiefsgirl says, "oh, go ahead Zeroz... sorry" Zeroz smiles, "I know he's not here, but Raphael is someone who originally inspired me to write locations." Zeroz winks and says, "I was just reminded of this fact by someone" Zeroz says, "I've tried my hand on other games besides Fed over the last 3 years, and my inspiration to even try came from him and his planets." Lobo thinks Raph lists at the top of planetary authors "I just thought I'd throw that out there...", smiles Zeroz. Claire agrees Claire raises her hand again "He is... and if he were to ever think of my work as being good, I'd be completely honored.", says Zeroz. "yes Claire?", asks Chiefsgirl. Claire frowns and says, "Can you start over? I missed it" Lobo nods to Zeroz Snowlily laughs Redspice chuckles... Chiefsgirl giggles Emcee grins "He was one that convinced me to submit Flashback for review", says Lobo. Zeroz places a TV Screen in the corner and hits the rewind button ;) Claire moves over by the TV and watches "Thanks Z", says Claire. Chiefsgirl asks, "Zeroz did you always aspire to be a Duke?" Ops has bought you a half n half! Part player and part custom designed dreamed drinkable concoction...! "Actually, No.", says Zeroz. Zeroz says, "And infact, this persona was never ment to be a Duke" Zeroz says, "I created my alt Zero to become my Duke persona, just to see how it was..." Zeroz winks and says, "I got impatient though" Netmndr grins at Z Lobo never *aspired* to be either...just evolved... "Zero is your alt? I'll be...", says Neva. Zeroz says, "In one hand, I had a horrible mining exchange, and in the other I had a persona with all the builds ready and even fuel for a time warp or two." "The choice was also very random and sudden. I said I wanna be a Duke, and with Pppme's help, it was done I think the next day", says Zeroz with a wink. Zeroz winks and says, "and with the help of others... like Neva" "3p wow", says Emcee. Neva smiles at her Papa "I also owe a lot to 3P. He gave me a home for my planet and helped me.", smiles Zeroz. Claire nods Briana thinks 3p is very nice "More questions for Zeroz?", asks Chiefsgirl. Neva raises her hand Chiefsgirl asks, "yes NEva?" Zeroz flees from Neva's question! Redspice chuckles... Ditzy will wait for the inevitable... "Have you ever, or do you plan to put BelowZero up for a planet review?", asks Neva. Zeroz says, "I will probably never finish BelowZero off the way I want it" Zeroz says, "My main goal right now is Magdalena... Zero's planet." "are you gonna get that one reviewed when it's finished?", asks Neva. Zeroz smiles, "Definately" "Magalena should turn out to be good.", smiles Heatherjn. "Magdalena, even.", says Heatherjn. Zeroz says, "I'm hoping so... I wanted a change from the normal planets around" Sallyanne exclaims, "I can't wait to see it when it's done!" "One would think I could spell a planet in my Duchy.", says Heatherjn. Heatherjn giggles. "I'm surprised no one has been curious where I got my name or my planet's name", says Zeroz with a wink. "Z, How many weddings have you performed?", says Netmndr with a wink. Heatherjn knows. ;) Zeroz winks and says, "None" Heatherjn laughs. Chiefsgirl smiles, "well, why don't you tell us Zeroz" Zeroz says, "Well... When I was on the old AOL for DOS... I had my screen name as Zero, or Zero and a number. I can't remember... it wasn't long since it was when AOL was just getting noticed" Zeroz winks and says, "I was like... 10?" "I don't remember where I got the name from. It just seemed cool at the time", says Zeroz. Zeroz winks and says, "It's not after the skateboarder brand, or the Smashing Pumpkin's song... or the candy bar" Fancy remembers the candy bar... Snowstar wasn't going to ask about IQ ::ducks behind Lobo!:: Bilbo tries to picture singing pumpkins Zeroz says, "hehe" Chiefsgirl asks, "and your planet name?" "He stands on it so it is "below" Zeroz?", asks Claire. Zeroz says, "Well... I think it was just wanting some similarity" Zeroz says, "I had picked an Ice planet since I remember it being HOT!!! and I didn't have an A/C..." "So, naturally I was thinking of a name for an Ice planet, and bingo... Belowzero", says Zeroz with a wink. Neva smiles, "who's Magdalena?" Fancy remembers a planet Magrathea... Zeroz says, "Magdalena is a song by a band called A Perfect Circle..." Zeroz winks and says, "But it's also a name of a goddess" Zeroz says, "And the actual origins just slipped my mind!! ack" "Slippery mind ...?", says Heatherjn with a wink. Silverkat asks, A Godess? "Yes, a goddess. I can't remember if it was celtic or what.", says Zeroz. "The song though was and still is one of my favorite", says Zeroz. Neva looks at the clock, waiting for someone to ask "the" question Chiefsgirl asks, "was there a certain rank you were most fond of Zeroz?" "ok...who's it gonna be?", asks Paladin. "Zeroz, what was your most embarassing moment in Fed?", says Sallyanne with a wink. Heatherjn asks, "Okay ... Z .. .what's your most embarassing moment in Fed?" Sallyanne flutters her eyelashes and looks innocent. Heatherjn laughs. Librarian sighs and raises his hand... Zeroz says, "Lemme answer CG's first..." Bratt giggles Neva giggles Zeroz says, "Captain" Zeroz says, "I loved that rank" Heatherjn giggles. Zeroz says, "I would sit in the Cantina for hours on end socializing and getting yelled at by the Navs." Jazir grins "I was a bit immature then...", says Zeroz. Sallyanne giggles. Zeroz whistles ;) Paladin asks, "then?" Heatherjn asks, "Why did they yell at you?" Zeroz winks and says, "Oh hush Paladin" Sallyanne wonders if Z's grown up now .... Zeroz says, "I was a loud-mouth little boy who knew nothing <grins>" "Now... most embarassing...", says Zeroz. Heatherjn laughs and claps a hand over her mouth! Emcee asks, "and now :)?" "I don't know if I have one actually", says Zeroz. Paladin says, "oh come now...." Zeroz winks and says, "I love making people laugh... and I usually sacrifice pride to do so sometimes." "We must entice the new blood!", exclaims Ops. Briana raises hand "I'll do the most stupidest things if I think people would get a good laugh out of it.", says Zeroz. Lobo NEVER does that Heatherjn giggles. Sallyanne giggles. "But... I think I might remember one", says Zeroz. Redspice blinks... Zeroz says, "hmm..." Zeroz says, "You know, this is actually hard" Heatherjn smirks. Emcee jumps back Claire asks, "tough when there are so many to choose from, eh?" Snowstar just smiles. Sallyanne laughs! Zeroz winks and says, "Well, nothing that's ever embarassed me" Claire knows the feeling Zeroz says, "Maybe the few times I've XT'd a Tb or two" Lobo remains silent and below radar... Zeroz asks, "Briana?" Briana asks, "do you have any regrets? and if so what do you regret most?" "I do have some regrests...", says Zeroz. Neva hopes Z is mumbling answers and not questions ;) Zeroz says, "But in all honesty, my main regret is forgetting that this is a game sometimes." Chiefsgirl gasps Heatherjn nods. Briana nods Claire nods in understanding "this is a game?", asks Chiefsgirl. "Yes, CG", says Zeroz with a wink. Chiefsgirl boggles "I've done many stupid things in Fed because I've let myself cross that line", says Zeroz. Heatherjn winks and says, "It all hits us eventually." Claire really hates reality Sallyanne blinks. Briana nods Snowlily grins at Claire Sallyanne grins. "it interferes with my game playing", says Claire with a wink. "So you know? That could also tie into my most embarassing moments...", says Zeroz. Emcee listens "I'm usually embarassed for days or weeks after I realize just how much of an idiot I looked like when I blew my top at someone", says Zeroz with a wink. Silverkat entones .. Work .. the curse of the gaming classes Neva winks and says, "you blow your top?" Zeroz winks and says, "And bottom too sometimes" Heatherjn laughs! Neva giggles Bratt smiles Fancy tries to suppress a laugh... Zeroz winks and says, "I have improved though! I don't do it on 9 nearly as much" "Not a good idea to tell HIM to blow it out, I guess...", says Fancy. Zeroz says, "hehe" Snowlily laughs Sallyanne laughs! "Now... Redspice points to Z... Zeroz says, "hehe" "z i had no expectations", smiles Emcee. "The Question to the Answer of the question of Life, the Universe, and Everything!", exclaims Netmndr. Bratt has never been to one of these, so she's exempt from that question "and So Long and Thanks for All the Fish!", says Netmndr with a wink. "any final questions for Zeroz?", asks Chiefsgirl. Fancy says, "Sometimes after reading a transcript of a Meet & Greet I couldn't make, I've thought of a witty comment I could have made at the right moment..." Ops says, "To learn something ... I might add that requestable regrets and regretful requests are now on sale in the Connor market... :P" Paladin says, "I always like to see if I knew you in a former life" "Zeroz, well done grandson", says Silverkat. "Z, did you know Io's reopened?", asks Neva. "Its always fun to reminisce about old times too...", says Claire. "Oh yes! GnF came and hung out with me for a bit.", says Zeroz. Zeroz smiles, "He had to say congrats on the Dukedom" "Well I do thank you all for coming and listening to me babble about my life and making me think I'm important", says Zeroz with a wink. "It was interesting, Z, nice job!", smiles Jazir. Chiefsgirl says, "I thank you all for coming tonight" "please join us next week... same time, same place", says Chiefsgirl. "Good job, Z", says Claire with a wink. Srgasman applauds Netmndr waves Ditzy smiles, "Great job, CG" Neva cheers for Z! "Good Job Z!", smiles Netmndr. Lobo applauds and bows to Zeroz Claire asks, "who's up next week CGT?" "its fun to find out that there are others that do silly things...too", smiles Redspice. "I'm not sure who's up next week yet", smiles Chiefsgirl. "watch the boards", says Chiefsgirl. "never read 'em", says Paladin. "Hey, CG? Ever done a Meet & Greet with yourself?", asks Zeroz.
