Description:
The arrival of fibreoptics precipated a massive improvement in the bandwidth available for communications. For the first time, internet-style comms nets are truly workable.
Effect:
Four points of fibreoptics are worth 1% increase in efficiency, up to a maximum of 10%. (The effect will not be seen until the next reset.)
Duration:
Fibreoptics can be built at technological levels and higher.
Command:
'BUILD FIBRE'. You can remove the build with 'DEMOLISH FIBRE'.
